A bit on the pricey side, but most of the same products are. Both the stainless steel and plastic handle are good quality, and it has good weight that helps with the tamper. And the silicone base is excellent to avoid getting the counter dirty if you don’t wash after each use. I do wash it, but still like the base.

It's a little tight on my aftermarket 51mm basket, but I blame that on the basket as it's too tight on my machine as well. The tamper is very nice, simple, and well made. I was hoping the handle was going to be black plastic because I didn't want something that cold and heavy. It is metal though and as such feels nice, albeit cold in the hand. I can't complain for the price, it's solid and I don't see myself upgrading unless I get new machine with a different diameter portafilter. It's a good buy.

Love this tamper. I was hesitant as I wanted something that felt and high-quality to go with my overall coffee setup, was leaning towards a walnut handle but didn't want any gimmicky spring-loaded tampers. This is honestly perfect - very inexpensive while being very high quality, weighty, and nice looking. The black grip isn't plasticy or cheap feeling, it's nice.

Bought to replace the cheap "tamper" that came with my automatic espresso machine and I'm VERY happy with the results. As nice as any tamper I have used. Good size, solid build (no springs to wear out), comfortable in hand, and excellent weight. Highly recommended!

Looks good, I like the stainless steel base and black handle that complement my black Krups espresso machine. I like the weight, it’s not light and not heavy, to me it’s just about right. I thought the handle is plastic but it’s not. The box states “Material: Aluminum Alloy and Stainless Steel” so Im assuming it’s aluminum alloy. Detaching the handle from the base is easy. I like the wider diameter of the thread (about an inch) of the handle. It surpassed my expectations.

First time using one, it was purchased to round out the needed items to salvage an espresso maker I got for free. I can't imagine a better quality tamper. It is solid built, comfortable to use and the rubber base/holder is thick and well made. Buy this with confidence.

Ich war erst etwas skeptisch wg. des Metallgrifft, und hätte lieber einen mit Holzgriff gehabt. Da habe ich mir verschiedene angeschaut, die waren dann aber alle etwas grattlich verarbeitet. Dieser liegt satt in der Hand liegt und ist sehr sauber verarbeitet, zerlegen kann man ihn wohl nicht ohne Gewalt. Die Tamperfläche ist sehr glatt, passt perfekt in die 51mm-Siebträger unserer DeLonghi, und ist gut zu reinigen. So muss das. Was mir weniger gut gefällt: Die kleine Tampermatte ist in Standardgröße, nicht in 51 mm. Das ist bei der Konkurrenz zwar auch nicht anders, aber schade ist es doch. So steht der Tamper halt in einem etwas zu großen Pad. Gibt einen halben Stern Abzug, aber bei dem attraktiven Preis wird aufgerundet!
