Great knife
I really like this knife awesome feel, nice and sharp out of the box, easy to sharpen and keep sharp, good weight, I like the weight of this because I'm used to using heavey German knives and I've always been wiery of Japanese knives because they are always so light, this has the weight and feel of the knives I like and the metal and blade I've always wanted, the only reason it's missing a star is because I feel like the blade could be just a bit thinner at the tip

Damascus hardly noticeable, but beautiful knife anyway
Bought this for my mom. She loves it so far. It looks very nice. The Damascus is not very noticeable and not worth the added cost. I would recommend buying the other basic version to save money.

very good
The steel is hard and it is very suitable for holding it in the hand. Is a good helper for sushi masters

Great value in this Japanese steel
Fantastic knife, holds its edge well and is easy to resharpen. Solid construction and built to last. Fit and finish is good but mine had a slight imperfection in the handle molding but isn't too noticeable. The Damascus pattern isn't nearly as dark or noticeable as the pictures on Amazon make it out to be. I bought this as a gift but when I bought one for myself I chose the non Damascus version to save a bit of money. Highly recommended as an introduction into the world of high end kitchen cutlery.
