Universal Remote Compatible for Yamaha RAV254 HTR-5740 HTR-5840 HTR-5860 RX-V757 Audio/Video Receiver Remote Control

This remote replaces the original Yamaha remote that controlled my HTR-5740 AV receiver. Works right out of the box, with the “system power” and “standby” buttons switching the receiver on and off respectively. All other controls/buttons work perfectly too. The form factor is great, and build quality too, especially considering the low price.

This remote flawlessly out of the box even the power button I have seen so many reviews that said the power button doesn't work well that is true if you press the red one in the upper right but if you use the standby and the power buttons on the bottom of the Of the remote they work perfectly what a great deal for 10 bucks!

Only a few functions work, and there is no option to reprogram it to make the others work properly. The power function does not work, so this remote is useless

This remote works perfectly for a yamaha receiver that was handed down to me. It includes all the buttons needed for changing inputs (dvd, cd, tuner, etc) as well as the separate power and standby buttons that standard universal remotes don't have. The controller is also well assembled. I've ordered replacement remotes for other devices that looked like they were hammered together. Not the case here.The only improvement they could make is fixing the pictogram in the battery case. It shows the batteries backwards of how they should be put in. If you've used enough electronics though, you'll know the negative (flat) end of your battery goes on the spring side. So the pictogram is a very minor issue.

The remote for my Yamaha received would not longer turn the volume up. This remote worked right out of the box.It does not do as much as the original remote, but it works will for the basics.

The media could not be loaded. Easy to use. No code needed to program remote to my receiver. Only had to put batteries in and while my receiver is on pressed the V-AUX button and it worked. To power Off and On, I just had to read my power button to my receiver to match remote button to know which button was the power button for my receiver because I tried the regular power button at the top of the remote but it wasn't working but then I read my receiver button that actually says "System Power Standby" and pressed that from the remote and it worked. So pay attention to your exact buttons to match the remote buttons. Im super excited to how easy and well it worked out. The description match correctly matching compatibility to my receiver.

Power button does not turn my device off and on. Besides that everything else works fine!

I bought this for an old thrift store bought Yahama HTR-5740. No programming needed. It is turned on by the System Power and turned off by the Standby. I like the old school "bulkiness" of the remote. It is very sturdy. Good purchase!!!
