Star Trek: Voyager: The Complete Series

This box set was shipped quickly and arrived in good condition. All of the Star Trek series are some of my favorites, and I was sorry to see them end. This set is a very enjoyable addition to my video collection, and I come back to them often to binge watch!

My mother loves it! It brings back memories for her back when she and Dad watched it on TV. I mostly listened to it because I was just a kid at the time. I couldn't go to sleep until after hearing the theme song. Now I enjoy it myself!

Janeway. That's simply what the Borg queen coldly and with astounding alarm referred to the capt. of voyager as, with a gleam in her eyes and I thought how befitting and accurate. That sums up capt. Janeway lethal, cold & calculating whenever necessary to protect her family, like any mother would protect her children. capt. j. is no ordinary person or mortal.she carries guts,gall,valor, character & morality in very large quantities and she never runs out or run low. (maybe its all that coffe) She did heroic things, things that looked suicidal or one way tickets (in some cases they actually we're) all the while with a daring take no prisoner difiant attitude. You dont want to take her head on in battle provoke or force her hand. She doesn't bluff ! I use to fancy my self being a capt.But after watching voyager I knew without a shadow of doubt I could never fill her shoes. never again not for me.This 5 ft. 2 120 .lb woman was the baddest, tuffest B....! In the delta,alpha, & expanse quadrant combined.Her reputation proceeded her sometimes.She had a knack for complete unpredictableness that was evident with jaw dropping or heart stopping scenes. She once walked directly into the head quarters stronghold of the most lethal & feared enemy forces ever known to exist & aimed a weapon directly at the leader,presumably at her head,then made demands. (I was relieved to be in my living room at the time) capt. j. could be cold & calculating if her family was being threatened or in the face of impossible odds,calm yet lethal or somtimes waiting to strike at the right precise time to deliver a catastrophic blow at the right moment to save her family or the greater good.but she was also a warm,compassionate person that often sought the advice of her favorite mentor & confidant Leonardo Divinci. I called her the mother hen of the ship always tending to her crew & sensitive to their needs, the crew to me often seemed like her sons & daughters,capt. J. took a special interest in seven,the prodigal daughter she never had guiding & mentoring her like she was her own flesh and blood. (in a way she was) Capt.Janeway i beleived held a special mental bond for seven seeing her as her real daughter.seven was essentially a over grown child naive in some ways & vulnerable (even if she had the strength of an Android) she was capt.Janeway's protégé a working progress,Seven was one of Janeways missions to help seven find her way.The voyager crew itself was artistic, aristocratic & cultured.the ship's Dr. listens to and performs opera,tuvok has a extremely high IQ & seven is a walking brain trust to name a few. A hologram,Vulcan, a Borg & others adds to Voyager's ambiance & class. Star trek voyager is poetic & romantic,lost in space far from home and anything familiar. They draw closer to each other like family.Voyager is poetry & art in motion something that moves you deeply like Shakespeare's Hamlet Voyager's performance is just as commanding worthy and fit for a king,a performance that often leaves you in total awe during defining moments or self reflection during certain scenes. One time the ship wasbeing pursued more like stalked by species 8739 (or a name similar to that) they make the invincible Borg look like choir boys.They were closing in on voyager for its destruction and inevitable final momets they fired a single shot (a mere tap on the shoulders) nearly crippling and disabling voyager completely as they flew by to make the final charge,by this time the bridge is chaotic & tense Tom Paris voyager's helmsman or pilot checks his control panel then screames in total disbelief and horror " There turning around to make another assault " capt. j. hearing this sits calmly in her chair and............... Just a common tip when viewing voyager watch at night in a dark room, large screen, loud volume, go on you tube bing Puccini or Callas play opera while you're watching voyager,this works well for the French capt. Picard too.but not as great with Archer's enterprise.The opera will enhance the show tenfold I'd suggest Puccini "just what the doctor ordered". I rate Voyager or Captain Katherine Janeway of the Star Ship Voyager 10 stars. brik w.

I bought the complete DVD collection about 2 months ago and I've been binge watching it ever since. I always been a original Star Trek fan and recently I decided to try out the other series and thus far I got done with TNG and Voyager. There are a lot of things I like about Voyager but there are equally a lot of things I don't like. Overall I am very pleased with the show.As far as DVD packing, my season 2 dvd has one disc that doesn't play well at all. I decided to re-purchase season 2 to complete my collection. That isn't a factor in my score as I just wanted to say that the DVD packing isn't all that great. While it looks like it was constructed well, the packing is very cheap plastic and it seems to hold the DVD not so well. Overall be careful when you remove the dvd also when you put it back, first depress the button so it goes in smoothly without "snapping" into place.As far as the show, I'll point out some random things I like or dislike:* The best episodes of the show go to the Doctor and Seven of Nine. These episodes seem to focus around a very good story to tell and in my opinion it works well. Too bad it is rare to see as there aren't a lot of episodes focusing in this regard.* Captain Janeway is great but she flip flops often in her opinions. That in itself isn't bad except for the fact the reversal happens with little regard to facts from the episode and builds within the last few minutes of the episode. From the very first episode, we witness Captain Janeway determined to get something accomplished. We see all the facts presented and we're with Captain Janeway in what she's about to do. Then as she's about to do what you think she's going to do, the show flip flops by introducing something that makes Captain Janeway immediately flip directions with little development time. Basically by the end of the episode, Captain Janeway does the complete opposite of things. Throughout the series it is sometimes frustrating to watch this.* Key technology or characters are dismissed. Take for example one episode where the Voyager starship is equipped with a new weapon. During the episode we witness Captain Janeway doing the flip and focusing on small details that are revealed at the last minute. Then... nothing further about the technology. It's never seen or discussed again.* During one episode Seven of Nine went haywire and caused the entire Voyager crew to nearly get killed. Nobody gets mad and they welcome Seven back into the crew. In another episode, we see the Doctor wishes to be appreciated so he decides to go on a planet that seems to adore his singing talents but only to find out they have a dark secret and he wishes to return to the Voyager since he made a mistake. Everyone is super angry with the doctor even though all he did was something for himself and didn't hurt anyone else.* Speaking of singing, I loved the episodes when Seven of Nine and the Doctor sing. Personally I wish they could have explored this more but I believe Jeri Ryan, the actress, had a lot of stress on the show due to other actors. With that said, I just wished there could have been more singing involved since she has a wonderful singing talent.* Overall the show has some great potential. Comparing to the other Star Trek before, I would say inconsistencies are expected and as such the entire show isn't that bad to watch.I am very pleased with the show. I enjoyed it alot and highly recommend it to anyone out there.

Star Trek Voyager is a wonderful journey into space and into the lives of the crew. So well produced, beautifully written and all the actors are a joy to watch. Follow their adventures into the far reaches of the galaxy and I guarantee you will have a fantastic time!

I purchased this particular set back in 2011 and I've watched the whole series from beginning to end about four or five times. I love it that much. For me, this story of Voyager getting lost in the Delta quadrant just never gets old and/or tired. It's like the telling of my own personal journey through this life and my struggle to find my way back home again.It helps tremendously that the story has a beginning and a very definite ending. The story lines were nothing less than engaging -- honestly there are no boring or irrelevant episodes. Each one progresses the story to the next leg of the journey. And Captain Janeway, with the combination of heart and sensitivity she brought to her position of leadership under the circumstances, was/is simply unparalleled making Voyager one of the very best series of the Star Trek saga.(As mentioned by others, the packaging is not at all good but the discs function as they should so if you are only interested in the story being told, this set will serve your purposes.)

UNA SERIE STUPENDA !!!!Confermo a tutti che la lingua italiana è compresa con anche i sottotitoli.Non ho riscontrato disordine nelle puntate come ho letto in qualche recensione.La qualità è dvd quindi ovviamente non ci aspettiamo un dettaglio visivo alto ma daltronde è il meglio che ci sia per questa bellissima serie che la CBS non ha intenzione di rimasterizzare in blu ray come ha fatto con la serie classica e next generation.Amazon consegna perfetta e pacco integroConsiglio di comprare questa edizione regno unito perchè l'edizione italiana costa di più ed è a mio parere più brutta come packagingSERIE STUPENDA DA DIVORARE OGNI SERA IN COMPAGNIA DI UN EQUIPAGGIO STUPENDO COME SOLO NEXT GENERATION FACEVA

Personnellement, je trouve que c'est une merveilleuse œuvre. on retrouvent tout l'univers de Star Trek, avec toujours la même recette gagnante que j'apprécie. On est toujours dans du Space/Opéra, avec de magnifique image et plan de vaisseaux ou de bataille spatial. une très belle intrigue et des rencontre inattendue et surtout des mystère que nos héros essaierons de découvrir .je ne suis pas de ceux qui pense, que voyageur ne devrais pas faire parti de Star Trek. Bien au contraire, ils rentre bien dans la continuité de l'histoire. avec des personnages toujours atypique.je vous conseille de regarder au moins le trailler, mais ça reste une belle expérience a un prix abordable.
