From darkness to light
Thank you for writing this book Rahil. I am sure it will touch many people's hearts as it has touched mine. I too was caught up, in the early part of my life, for at least 20 years, in the yogic, swami, ashram world, with all that it entails.Mercifully, Jesus continued to knock at my door too, and finally, it was such a joyous relief to say YES and to enter into the Kingdom which was there and waiting for me all along . Like your own experience there has been a lot of un learning to do.I highly recommend this book, particularly to any who may be caught up in cults or organisations of any kind who are yearning to walk away but are fearful to do so.This is a very powerful witness to how our Lord Jesus saves lives and brings us back to wholeness, able to rest in His and our Heavenly Fathers amazing love.

enjoyable
I like what Rahil said "Most of all, I am thankful that He waited for me for 20 plus years and never gave up. He kept knocking on the door. I’m grateful He chose me and called me. I look back and see how Jesus had His eyes on me all the time, waiting, knocking patiently." My prayer is may many through this book find the way the truth and the life. May the Lord send His labourers into the Hindu community and may many find a relationship with the true living God and not just religion. Enjoyable and well written book.

Wonderful spiritual journey.
This is a very interesting insight into how Rahil's particular branch of Hinduism worked.Above it is a wonderful story of how the deepest desires of his heart could not be satisfied until his life changing encounter with the living Lord Jesus.Could be a life changing read.Highly recommended. Stunning book about how we can ALL be found by Love Himself - Jesus Christ!
I read this book in just over 24 hours. I was again captivated by the undeserved and abundant grace of Jesus Christ and how He does all He can to find us where we are at. Rahil - thank you so much for your vulnerability and honesty in revealing the REAL you! We thank God that there is no need to pretend with Christ because He lights everything up and reveals His own beauty in our brokenness. May you know His intimate presence more and more as you continue to seek His face and be used to help reveal His glorious Love to our broken world! May many be touched by your story of undeserved grace and unconditional love!

Excellent testimony of a personal encounter with God.
A compelling and exciting account of one's journey in search of truth but ultimately being found by God, the King of kings, showering His love upon the author. A splendid book for all, including people of the Hindu faith.

Heartwarming and honest
Absorbing account of a Hindu priest 's search for a loving God, and how his eventual encounter with Jesus provided the answer to all his questions. Well-written and honest, this is a testament to the loving persistence of God.

Saved by grace.
Very interesting indeed though a trifle introspective and repetitive.

for it is not easy to discard your family's lifelong faith
What can I say? If you are a Hindu, or indeed any type of religious person, you will be thrilled by the account of how Mr Patel finds the real and living God. It takes him some time to learn the truth, for it is not easy to discard your family's lifelong faith, but his sense of relief and peace is palpable. A really good read, whatever your faith.

Praise Jesus!
If you aren’t Christian, this book is for you too! I enjoyed his story telling and writing style. Good insight into the life of a Hindu priest. An encouragement in the faith.

Very generous, emotional, touching
Absolutely excellent and touching journey! Very generous in opening up including some embarrassing details. Learned a lot about Christianity and Hinduism and the contrasting philosophies. This book would certainly help people to learn more about these 2 philosophies.

This book really shows the emptyness of Hinduism!
In some way I have always known that the pantheistic way of life doesn't lead to peace in one's heart. The swami tells about all the different ins and outs of being in this belief system that at its core is much about trying to do something for the gods. It makes the priests living very luxurious lives, trying to help people but without being deeply satisfied themselves. The author tells his own story about how it is to be in the system like to be in a cage. Leaving this life was terribly difficult but when finding Christ Jesus as the one who did not ask but gave his own life for him, changed his life to be deeply satisfied. Not in just a moment. It took plenty of time to learn how his identity needed to be changed into a totally new one, only leaning on the work of Christ, not by doing himself. It was a good investment reading this honestly written book.
