Great bed, both dogs loved it immediately. I have an awkward corner where I needed a bed exactly the size of the large bed. Bed configuration minimizes the amount of dog grease that can get on the walls. I've bought beds from ll bean and Cabela's that didn't work as well as this one does. My go-to beds for the past few years have actually been Kodel fleece saddle pads, which are great because they are WASHABLE. (A saddle pad tucks neatly around the cushion on the Purple Pet bed and can be laundered as needed, which minimizes that all too familiar eau de chien that wafts from well used bed. A bath towel or rug would also work, plus the bed itself will go in the wash at some point, I'm sure.) The bed itself provides improved cushioning on our concrete floor and protection from drafts Both my dogs are over fifty pounds, and they fit in the large size (one at a time!) just fine.

First off, I will say to pay attention to the measurements of the beds when you're ordering. The pictures I thought were deceptive/hard to tell what would fit with my dog. With that said, my dog is a StaffordShire Terrier (Pittbull, but she's small: a "Pocket Pitt"), and weighs 37lbs. She fits comfortably in this bed curled up, or on her side with her legs out, but she can't lay totally stretched out. She has to go to the throw rug if she needs to stretch. My dog has a leaky bladder now that she's 14, and this bed has been a GODSEND. Most of the time we just have a blanket laid in it and wash the blanket, wipe down any damp spot on the bed with water and seventh generation disinfecting wipes. The bed stays totally odorless. I mean totally. And then, just for peace of mind, every so often we wash the cover. This is where the bed lost a star from me, because taking off the cover and putting it back on is a little bit of a process. The bed comes apart into a few pieces that have to go back together. But really, that or buy a $40 bed every month? I'll take Door #1.

This was the first pet bed I have had that you have to assemble. It looked difficult but actually was quite easy.Even though it is waterproof,taking out parts of it to be able to wash is appealing due to the fact that they will fit inside my washing machine.The fabric is a bit stiff but I put a doggy blanket inside and my dog just hopped right in.She really likes it and that is the most important thing.I got a medium and my 40 pound staffy fits in it.

If you are looking for a durable bed that is easy to clean this is it. Would be perfect for a kennel with a blanket over it for soft comfort or in the car for long drives. Its not that soft comfy feel most dog beds are. But if your ok with that an added a blank over it, I think Its a great bed. And you can take all the stuffing / inside pillows out so you can wash it. You know in case it gets dirty for any reason. I really like that part of it. For the price I was very surprised how nice it is. I ordered 3 of them and donated them to a local shelter. Perfect for them!
