My Dyson attachment broke and was scratching my floor. I bought this replacement out of necessity, and I’m so glad I did.1: the light is a game changer.2: it does have less intense suction than the Dyson head, but it works to my advantage. I couldn’t use the Dyson on my Ruggable washable rugs because it would tear them up. This attachment cleans them perfectly with enough suction to clean, but not enough to damage them.3: it rolls much smoother and easier. I feel like it is much easier on my hard floors. Even before my Dyson head broke, it would still suck up a pebble or something and scratch my floors with it. This one has yet to do so, and the rubber wheels are just so soft on my floors.Very happy with my purchase!

I have had my v11 animal for 2-3 years now, and the original attachment stopped working a week after I bought a new rug that didn't agree with how much suction a dyson vacuum uses. When I looked up the replacement part, I see that the dyson brand is $104, which, respectfully, just isn't going to happen for me. I ordered this one and tried it out first thing. It works really well on hardwood floors, and the light does help me see better. I find the light kind of distracting, but if you're looking for a light to help see dirt/crumbs, then this will definitely help you. I can logically tell it works on the carpet as the container fills up after I use it; however, even when you use boost mode, it doesn't have that overpowering suction feel that gives me the feeling that it has ultimate suction power. I will just have to adjust though because it still clearly works, and I don't think spending $60 more dollars for the name brand replacement will make it work any better.

We ruined our OEM vacuum head by vacuuming up some baking soda. We were able to Jerry rig it together to make it work for about 1.5 years, but it wasn't a pretty sight to see a taped up Frankenstein vacuum head. We jumped on this during prime day. Wasn't really sure how it'd work out because we tend buy OEM, but for $100+ for a genuine Dyson replacement, you may as well buy a brand new vacuum. This was a fraction of the cost and after receiving it and using it, it's a great value. It might even function better than the original. It is much more maneuverable and as other reviewers have said, it lays down flat so it's easier to get under things. The color and plastic material is pretty close to OEM so you couldnt even tell it's an aftermarket part. Opening it up and taking the brush out to clean it is easy enough. I'm not too worried about this thing lasting forever since it was so affordable but I feel like it'll hold up a couple years forsure.I can't speak to it's performance on any type of carpet or rug. Our apartment has all wood floors so I could justify going for a cheap replacement like this. The light is ok. Honestly doesn't add much value to us but battery drain from that seems pretty minimal so nbd. Would rather there be a switch to turn it off though.If you need a replacement and don't have much carpet in your home, I highly recommend. The description says it could handle low pile carpet and it definitely seems like it could. As for medium pile, not too sure you'll have to see for yourself.

This will last you 1 year 4 months before the hose breaks with the wheels starting to wobble. Overall it worked great with everyday use on carpet and vinyl floors. The lights work great too. So, for under $50 it was worth it. I guess that’s just consumer goods now days although if they upgraded the hose I believe it would have lasted longer as the motor seemed to still be strong.

I wish they made an on switch that stayed on rather than needing to hold the switch on all the time.

The red button is far less flimsy than Dysons, my battery life has multiplied, and the light bar is a HUGE bonus. My dysons attachment broke in 1 month due to the red button breaking apart, this has lasted me 6+ months and still going strong.
