These are absolutely brilliant for these colder nights here in the UK... keeps my green cheek conure nice and warm! I cover him at night with a big warm throw and when I take it off in the morning I can actually feel the heat from the cage... yet they dont get hot... just pleasantly warm... I dont worry now that he will get too cold! However... they do come with a US plug so if like me you are in the UK you will need a US to UK adapter... best £36 I've spent...

A really good thing to have during the winter. My budgie ignored it for about 2 weeks but now he snuggles up to it. I have some material around the back of the cage and a bit of the top, which seemed to help make the entire corner where the heater is warmer. It was worth the price as Im not worried about a fire hazard as i would be with cheaper electronics. The only negative is it comes with a US plug so needs an adapter for UK. Would also be great if it had a small light somewhere so I can tell it's on.

Researched this item as was not sure about leaving on for any length of time and thought it might be an expensive waste if not used. Charlie loved it straight away and after trial period I feel ok about leaving it on when at work, only wee gripe, for the price uk plug should have been supplied.

I asked a few questions before purchasing, which no one was able to completely answer, so I took the plunge and will offer some advice for fellow UK users. You do need a travel adaptor as the unit is supplied with a US two pin plug. You do not need a step down transformer, as you can see from the image the unit is supplied with a plug/transformer that is rated for 110-240v input. Therefore because the plug is also a transformer you cannot simply rewire with a UK plug, unless you use an identically rated transformer... Which would get expensive and a bit pointless. This is not due to the US voltage, as the product can handle a wide range of voltage I have not yet tested the unit as I need to buy a travel plug.

Me gusto mucho el hecho que llegara un día antes del que se esperaba. Compre 2 calentadores y ambos funcionan muy bien, llegaron en un muy buen estado. A 2 de mis Ninfas les agrada mucho, las mantiene calientitas durante la noche. Las otras 3 aún le tienen miedo por ser algo nuevo, pero no se espantan y eso es gracias al color neutro que tiene, están adaptándose poco a poco al calentador. Si recomiendo que tapen muy bien las jaulas de las aves para que no pasen corrientes de aire frío, y así puedan mantener el calor que les da el calentador. Es la primera vez que compro productos de K&H y hasta el momento me están gustando mucho, les hace bien a mis aves y no las ponen en riesgo. :D

Me gusta mucho que es 100% seguro para mis ninfas ya que mantiene una temperatura adecuada para que ellos no sufran algún accidente por una quemadura pero también los mantiene cálidos ante las temperaturas bajas en la ciudad en este invierno lo recomiendo ampliamente y es un excelente regalo para estos pequeños que tanto amamos en la familia

My birds always take bath at 2:00am when i am still awake to prepare their morning breakfast before I go to bed. I have this heater on with them at mid-night, so they are not getting cold so far. They love to sleep next to the heater so it is worry free to me.

Me gustó muchísimo el producto, llegó super rápido y lo probé inmediatamente. Tenía miedo de que se calentará de más y lastimara a mi canario que ya está bastante viejito pero por fortuna la temperatura no se eleva nunca de más. Lo recomiendo mucho para ambientes fríos ya que se pueden acurrucar al lado de la planchita y duermen muy a gusto. Creo que la terminación del cable de la parte de atrás si podría ser mejor pero dentro de todo se ve y se sienten buenos materiales.

Update: Took temperatures after it had been on longer. Highest reading I got was 97.5 Farenheit or 36.4 Celsius at the top. If I didn't have an infrared temperature gun I would have returned this product. I don't really feel the heat, but I've been taking the temps and there is enough warmth for a bird if they snuggle up to it (like the product name says). It definitely does not throw heat, but that's a good thing. As my photo shows, the heat goes from warm, warmer to warmest from the bottom going up. The temps fluctuate a bit, so these aren't pinpoint exact temps at all times. In this photo the temps I measured ranged from about 25 (bottom), 28 (middle), to 30 (top) Celsius... in Fahrenheit that's about 77, 84 and 86. The information the company gives for the internal preset temperature is between 99 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit and my readings are nowhere near this high at the surface level, but again, high temps could burn a bird, so this is probably an ideal range to the touch. The one thing I think would improve this product is if there was some kind of light where the wires connect to alert you that you have a proper connection. I'm happy I bought this, especially to keep my bird comfortable through the winter. Sometimes I've had to put a small electric heater in the room during very cold temps, which is more expensive to run than this warmer, and also really dries out a room.
