Not seeming to work for me.
Not sure if I have a def Croce unit or if I need to play around with it more, but it doesn’t give me accurate readings. I know for a fact that mild steel heated to the point it no longer responds to magnetism is 1400+ F, yet this keep kicking backs readinna of 800-1100F. The sole purpose of buying this unit was so I wouldn’t have to be so close to the metal foundry and forge. I’ll play around with it for another week before returning it. I will update if my results change.

Great alternative for traditional pyrometer and probes
Works great with my foundry set up. The EMS adjustment is very helpful for measuring different metals. The unit arrived in a great case as well. Added bonus.

Good tool, I like that it comes with a carrying case, and the battery (in the hand grip) is easily replaceable, so I don't have to leave it in all the time.

Size difference.
Works well. It's bigger than a lower temp unit I already had which surprised me. When measuring things from a distance like in a fire or foundry you have to be sure you're getting a reading on the actual piece not steam or smoke.
