Great product. Assembly was easy as long as your handy with a drill and phillips head bit. To those who are rating this product poorly because you believe the directions are not clear please go back to school and take english 101. I've seen plenty of poorly constructed product directions and this one is just fine. You have to READ them not just look at the photos because your lazy. Otherwise this looks nice, assembly was easy and gives the bathroom a fresher look. I also enjoy not having to deal with the shower curtain hitting my body. The second bar is great for hanging wet towels. I would say from start to finish it took me about an hour to install but thats was ok by me because I took the time to install it properly the first time. One end is screwed into a stud and the other is drywall. The drywall retainers did their job and I can hang two full size and heavy towels without fear of overwhelming the screws. In all honesty you could hang maybe 4 without stressing it to the point of breaking. This may not be the case if your anchoring in just drywall so I would take that into consideration before buying and check that you have a stud to anchor at least one end preferably both anchoring points.

I wanted to replace my old builder grade chrome rod that was in my shower, and wanted a curved one for more room in the shower. I also constantly am hanging clothes and items on the shower curtain rod that can't go into the dryer. When I saw that there was a shower rod with a second bar for hanging clothes I was sold. The rod itself is extremely lightweight being made of aluminum. This does make it more susceptible to some scratches and dents however - but thats a trade-off I'm OK with given the material used. The installation does take two people (if you want it done well!), however the included parts are a bit paltry. In particular the screw anchors are pretty week and don't look like they would hold well. I used some beefier ones that I had. I also used larger screws than the ones provided for a more secure fit. With these two changes the shower rod is rock tight. Like many people have said, do make sure you tighten the little allen wrench screws as well. All said, it probably took about 30-45 minutes to do the installation. I've used the rod for about a week and I'm really happy with it. It definitely make the shower seem more open, and gives the bathroom a more modern look. I probably won't hang heavy wet towels from the second bar (but it should be more than fine for undergarments and other lightweight clothing items.) I would recommend this item overall.

It's very thin metal which had us worried at first but once you put it up, it's been very sturdy. I wouldn't hang on it of course, and we try not to drag our towels off it so we don't pull on the rod. But we love having the two rods so we can hang our wet towels on the outer one. Installing was pretty easy except for when we had to connect the rods to the brackets - it took us forever to realize we had to use the l-wrench to loosen the tiny screws to create space for the rod and then tighten them back up. The instructions made it seem like it should just pop in, which was impossible. We're lucky we didn't damage anything while trying. We've had the rod up a year now and it still looks like new!

I gave it four stars because we don't have a THREE AND HALF STARS rating. That is really what this is, a 3-STAR item, that gets another 1/2 STAR due to its appearance. This Shower Curtain Rod looks great to the eye - in that its attractive (maybe more so than the pictures), and very easy to assemble (as long as you don't mind working with TINY little Allen wrenches). The Allen wrenches that came with the kit where fine, but I ended up using some of my own because I had longer ones that allowed me to grip better. The material is THIN - I mean, like nearly PAPER thin. You can bend it with just a little pressure in your hands. This bar will not support any significant weight, and I though that it might bow a bit with the weight of the shower curtains. It hasn't yet, but I will see what happens over time. I suspect it may need reinforcing at some point, but we'll see. For now, this curtain works exactly as planed, and the bowed design makes the shower feel bigger. I can recommend this item, with the caveat that you have your own set of metric Allen wrenches (because this item is made in the People's Republic of China, not the People's Republic of California), and make sure to use a good level when you are adjusting the bar so it comes out PERFECT!

This product is just what we needed. We were able to screw it into the wall and stabilize it. It created so much more space in our standup shower, my husband is a big guy, so he was very happy. Didn’t even realize how badly he needed it till we installed it. I can hang towels, my floor mat, and when I do laundry, I need to hang up delicates it actually can hold up the weight. I’ve let friends know who complained about not enough space that this is a great item to install. The installation wasn’t super simple, but it wasn’t that difficult either I would have two people so that someone can help hold it up while the other one drills it in.
