I've given similar sets like this to kids for Christmas over the years and it's always a hit. The track sections will come apart into individual tracks making them a royal pain to put back together. So if you've got a 3-4 year old who likes to disassemble things watch out or you're in for 45 min of snapping the tracks back together because they can't do it themselves.But that's an issue with ALL of these magic track type sets.Took a star because I had to operate on one of the trucks. the switch wasn't popped into place so I had to take it completely apart to fix it. Good thing I always put in batteries before I wrap a gift or I would have pissed off a 4 year old on Christmas.They aren't very sturdy but they aren't very expensive either. So I would still buy again, just make sure it works.There was a sticker on the box changing the number of peices, I counted the box was wrong and the sticker (more importantly the Amazon description) are correct.

Only two cars have batteries. So the others don’t get played with. Grandson loves it with fresh batteries, but they don’t last long. One car will end up pushing the other round the track.Also can’t use the round about when both cars are in the track unless one is pushing the other from behind. They will collide together, tip over, and one car will jump the track and take off across the room.

Instructions were not included. You have to look at the box picture to assemble the toy. It is for that reason I gave the toy only 1 star.
