Bought it for someone. Though I’m not of Latin decent, I am bilingual. The person says said the book is helpful but wish there were more pronunciation breakdowns. Otherwise great book.

I bought this as a gift for a friend learning English. I suppose it might be helpful, but if one doesn't already know the ranking of a specific word (for example, the 201st most used English word), the book is basically useless. There should be an index or list of the words with their rankings so they can be easily found. I cannot recommend this.

If your mother tongue is Spanish, but you wish to learn English within a short period of time, this book is the best guide you must refer. This book contains the most used words and phrases in English language. Very useful and interesting English learning book.
