Difference between good popcorn and great popcorn...seriously.
I am one like many of you who like the convenience and flavor of bagged popcorn in the microwave. I also know it is not good for you and decided to try to make popcorn at home. I used to have an air popper but popcorn seemed to dry. I saw a microwave popcorn maker and bought it - Salbree Microwave Popcorn Popper with Lid, Silicone Popcorn Maker, Collapsible Bowl Red. This is such an awesome product and easy to use. I was making popcorn in this popper with a small amount of corn oil and sea salt. It worked but just did not taste like the popcorn i was craving. I was using the Kirkland bags from Costco and love the flavor. Yeah, I am throwing out brand names, but I am being honest and is great for comparisons and products related to to this Flavacol Seasoning. Still using sea salt, i tried cold pressed coconut oil (about a tsp) in 2 oz (1/4 cup) of popcorn in the popper. Yes, I have to liquify the coconut oil, but it's worth it. The flavor had a hint of coconut and with the sea salt, it was good, but not great, though definitely better than my other way mentioned above. Today, I had the Flavacol delivered by Amazon. I thought the coconut oil was expensive, I never thought I would spend this much on a popcorn flavor for cartons in the size of 1/4 gallons of milk. (You get two). I can say, IT WAS WORTH IT. First off, even though it really did not seem to be a lot for the money, you add so little of this to your popcorn before popping it that this will probably expire before using it all. I bought this for the comparison of Movie Theater Popcorn. OK, I admit, this meant nothing to me as I never buy popcorn at a movie theater. Taking out a second mortgage for the price of a big box of popcorn just did not sit well....LOL. Anyhow, I know many do buy the popcorn at a theater and read the reviews of this Gold Medal Flavacol, in regards with the comparisons, flavoring, taste, quality, etc... and felt I could not go wrong. This is truly good flavoring. In the popper for 2oz. of popcorn, I added only a 1/4 tsp.. yes, 1/4 tsp. and it was added to my coconut oil and popcorn (OK, a little heaping 1/4 tsp). I mixed it up real good and popped it in the microwave. The flavor was outstanding. I do have to wonder about salt content though as even this little bit tasted pretty salty. I will have to play with the amount a bit for my liking but you do not need to add butter to this. The popcorn tastes wonderful and at a 1/4 tsp at a time, this two pack would last me probably 2 to 3 years if I were to eat popcorn daily. I feel making this popcorn at home is much more healthy than the regular bagged microwave popcorn is, even with this flavacol added. Yes, Flavacol is all that the other reviews say it is. it makes a difference between good popcorn and great popcorn and still in a microwave.

pop-pop yum yum
I don't remember when I bought this but maybe 10yrs ago? We use so little each time that I am barely into the first pack. My popcorn tastes great. I put some coconut oil in a pot on the stove, a few kernels, when they pop I add more kernels and the flavacol, mix mix mix, pop-pop,good taste. So far nothing has clumped or gone off. It's salt so I think it will last. I did transfer the contents of the opened box into a sealable plastic jar. Seriously a little goes a long way. Don't just dump this onto a bowl of popped popcorn.

Great product.
Tried it for the first time, and it seemed to boost the flavor of our popcorn. Plan to try it on roasted corn and other veggies we like to butter well. One sturdy container contains a lot of the seasoning, so it should last for quite some time. Will order again when this is gone. Might be a thoughtful gift for other popcorn lovers.

Great value for the package size, well known product used by popped-popcorn stands etc.
This is the same product that is used in the big popcorn machines you find at venues, stores etc. I use it both in the popper (a hot oil popper, not hot air!) and also in a shaker to sprinkle lightly on the popcorn while I'm eating it. It's a very good value as well - these two large cartons cost a lot less than smaller containers of other similar product. The only thing I don't like is that it does sort of leave a mess in the popper; I guess it doesn't really matter since the popper just gets used 'as-is' time after time, but I had read it would dissolve in the hot oil but that doesn't seem to be so. Still, a very good product and well known to commercial popcorn sellers.
