This timer needs to be a lot louder!

The timer is simple to use, and has a large, easily legible display. The alarm is quite loud, and can easily be heard from another room.The build quality is very good; the plastic case is chunky and solid. There is a retractable loop at the back to hang it from, and also a magnet to stick it to a steel surface. The magnet is nice and strong. I tested it on my fridge, and it held the timer in place securely without any risk of it sliding down.I deducted one star because it doesn't seem to like rechargeable batteries.I tried a rechargeable battery at first, and the display was very faint. I tried several more known-good rechargeables with the same result.I thought the display was faulty, and nearly returned it, but then I tried a non-rechargeable battery and it worked fine.I assume this is because rechargeable batteries have a slightly lower voltage (1.2v) compared to disposable batteries (1.5v).This was a little annoying, because I like to use rechargeables wherever possible, but these things are pretty low drain devices, so disposables should last a decent amount of time.In summary, unless you have a pressing need for a timer that can use rechargeable batteries, this timer is great.

Just as advertised

This is my second review. I gave a low rating the first time because I didn't think it worked. It wouldn't come on. Then I discovered there is an on/off switch. I felt like an idiot.

Really a piece of junk, does not work out of the box

This timer works just fine. Also, it cost little. It also has a magnetic feature which allows me to stick it to the fridge or stove or where ever I have an iron or steel surface. That is a nice feature. I like this little timer very much for those reasons.

Had an annoyingly loud beep when time was up and will keep beeping continously until you shut it off.
