Great alternative to coffee/caffeine
This beverage is a delicious alternative to coffee for me. I can't drink coffee because of the caffeine and even decaf gives me cardiac arrythmia. The flavor is similar to coffee, but I think better in many ways.I drink it with milk and sugar just like I would if I were having regular coffee.I always reorder when my supply gets low. Love it.

If Starbucks told me it was real coffee I'd believe them!
For 8 years I've been allergic to caffeine. My ears start popping as if I'm on a plane, my jaw hurts, my neck hurts, I feel jittery, antsy, anxious, and decaf espresso at Starbucks was still too high caffeine to be symptom free. But, my wife and I love going for country drives with a Starbucks in our hand, and I just suck up the side effects and indulge anyway. The other day I sat in front of Starbucks, scrolling through the app hunting for something Sugar Free and Caffeine Free that wasn't an overpriced Hibiscus Tea again. I actually got mad at the lack of options that were both of those basic criteria, so drove away empty handed! When I got home I found Teeccino, and ordered the French Roast immediately! I was already bringing my own Almond Milk to Starbucks to avoid the unnecessary sugar in their Sweetened almond milk. Maybe I just don't care for Starbucks??Today it arrived, along with my little 12oz French Press. I measured out 6oz of hot water (that's 3 espresso shots worth of liquid) and put in a heaping tablespoon of Teeccino, mixed it up, steeped for 4 minutes, poured it into a thermos with 3tbsp heavy cream, 10oz almond milk, 1 tbsp of Lakanto Golden Monkfruit Sweetener, gave it a shake and refrigerated it.Later that day we hit up a Starbucks. My wife got her usual, and I ordered a Venti cup of Ice.I poured the entire contents of my thermos into a half cup of ice, and it was Sugar Free Caffeine Free Heaven!!Seriously delicious, and it cost me $1 instead of $6!Next time I would use more Teeccino. I used 1 heaping tbsp to 6oz water. Maybe I'll try 2 level tbsp's or 2.5 to get a stronger flavor concentration. As for flavor etc, full disclosure, I'm not a coffee afficionado. I was already in my 30's by the time I stopped hating coffee and I can't stand Espresso that isn't in a Cappuccino, Flat White, or Latte. But here's my evaluation:Color: Looks like coffee/espressoAroma: Smells like coffee/espresso/cacao, but not as permeating of a smell as real coffeeTaste on its own: I regret trying Espresso every time I think I'll give it another shot. But Teeccino I would happily drink with nothing else added. It has the right notes of bitter and coffee to pass as coffee to me, with a cacao/mocha undertone. In an Almond Milk Latte with Cream: If Starbucks told me this was a new variety of coffee bean they introduced I'd believe it and order it every time. It's got the bitterness and complexity I'm looking for in a drink to sip on a long drive, kind of a mocha coffee bean hybrid.Fun Fact: My Dutch farther was telling me that during World War II in Holland, they would drink Chicory Root in place of coffee, or mixed with coffee beans, as there was a shortage of coffee beans and they were expensive. When I told him it was a Chicory Root base he immediately wanted to try it as he had heard of how it had been used in Holland back in the day.If you're looking for a caffeine free way to enjoy Starbucks type drinks again, definitely give this a try. If you're a coffee snob you probably won't see it as coffee as much as I do, but if you can't handle caffeine anymore then suck it up and appreciate that this even exists ;-)

Doesn't taste like French Roast, but...
French Roast was my favorite coffee until i decided to go off of caffeine. I ordered this thinking it would be a good substitute, but the taste has no resemblance to French Roast coffee at all. What it tastes and smells like to me is coffee that has been left heating in the pot too long, or like burnt molasses.I'm probably gonna end up drinking decaf which at least tastes like coffee.Update; Teeccino has offered to refund my money for this, but i decided that i'd experiment with it a bit first to see if i could brew a cup i actually liked. The first time i used my DeLonghi espresso machine to brew it and i just couldn't get it to be mild enough to not taste like tar. This time i unpacked my old Mr Coffee 4 cup brewer and tried using that with paper filters. After some experimentation i got a cup i didn't mind drinking. The trick seems to be to use paper filters and only about 2 teaspoons of Teeccino per 8 oz cup. This gives it a coffee-like consistency that i can then add cream and sweetener to. It still doesn't taste anything like French Roast IMO, but it's not bad. It has it's own unique flavour that you might like or not for what it is.The thing to remember is that a little goes a long way, so definitely plan on using a lot less of this than you would ground coffee, and paper filters help to smooth out the taste some as well.I'm gonna keep drinking this and see how it grows on me. I upgraded to 4 stars because it's not bad once you get the hang of brewing it. It didn't get 5 because it doesn't taste like French Roast.

Can't get any Better IMO
So I got the French dark roast and lemme tell you something: I'm fairly certain this is the best product ever. It's by definition an herbal tea. It's not coffee. But it tastes, brews, looks and smells just like coffee. I legitimately was convinced I was imagining things when I started my first brew. This stuff should be more popular. I don't know how they did it but I don't give reviews unless I love a product or it's trash and this is as close as you can get to coffee without it being coffee. 10/10 recommend. Will be trying to reach out to the company to find out how they plan to Mass produce this even more. It's too expensive, perhaps that's my only issue. Starbucks is cheaper. So the price point really needs to come down. Otherwise it's amazing.

Good Product, But...
The Teeccino French Roast Chicory Coffee alternative is a great product and I was really enjoying it until I found out that I was allegic to chicory root. If you are allergic to ragweed, birch pollen, or daisies, you will probably be allergic to chicory root, so be careful.

Nice chocolaty caffeine free hot drink.
I tried a lot of caffeine free coffee alternatives. At first I didn't like this very much, but I warmed up to it after about a half cup. It's more like chocolate than coffee, but it's quite nice. I go through about a pack every two weeks.I gave this four starts instead of five because I like Teeccino Java Chicory Coffee Alternative - Ground Herbal Coffee That’s Prebiotic, Caffeine Free & Acid Free, Medium Roast a little better.
