Q: My vinyl was slipping a lot. did i buy the wrong product? its a brand new record. slips like crazy.

It's normal when using a brush to to clean out the dust and lint. But don't understand what issue you are having if it's slipping while playing? Then that is a problem. I notice slipping while I used the lint brush but then I pressed a bit softer and didn't slip anymore. If that's the problem and you resolved it like that it's good if not try a roller gel cleaner.

Yes, never had any issues with it

All it does is help reduce the static build-up created during the operation of your turntable, record playing, and contact with the stylist, it has no effect on the sound during the process, and I have measured both with and without, and still no change.
