Update: kinda bummed. Our collar stopped working after about 7 months of use. I’m not sure the life expectancy of these things but I am going to buy it again. I found this collar to be very effective in helping prevent our pup from developing bad habits.I have a large breed dog. He was only 9 months old when we purchased this collar. It has worked wonderful. I usually opt for the buzz option instead of the shock, and he’s learning very quickly. I would recommend this to anyone who is trying to train a puppy and break them of bad habits.

I really like this product and used it for several years. After much use, it seemed to wear out. (Which isn't a problem, I understand.) However, I ordered the exact same collar, after a day or two we realized the "shock" button was defective. I returned the product, went to order ANOTHER one (because we really are happy with it) and it was $14 more than it was a week ago! Now I am very aggravated and may not purchase another one. How can I get a replacement for the one I purchased a week go without having to pay extra?!

Once I installed the collar I never had to even use the shock button, the vibration and sound buttons were more than adequate to get his attention. I really enjoy setting him straight without being semi abusive.

Works really good... My dog wishes it had a button lock on remote. Don't carru it in your pocket.
