La Crosse Technology S82950-INT WiFi Professional Weather Station, Black

This La Crosse Weather Station has a nice display and offers more functions than the black and white temperature and humidity weather station that it replaced. The Wi-Fi feature makes it easy to monitor the system on your phone. I have had some issues with internet connectivity, and with the base unit crashing. I read in other reviews that customer support was not that good. However, my experience with their customer support team has been excellent. They have responded within hours to my support requests, and have gone beyond expectations as far as technical assistance, replacement equipment, and helping me understand and operate their Weather Station.

LaCrosse has so many models that choosing can be difficult. I liked the display on this package better than some of their others so I selected it. I didn’t need the water sensor but it was included and rain sensors are such a nuisance if you have leaves and/or winter since they freeze. The display is bright and the size is easy to read. The LaCrosse View app so far is working well. The instructions didn’t seem to clearly indicate that each sensor including the display had to be scanned individually into each portable device (phone or tablet) so I had to take down the sensors and scan the bar codes into a few phones. The Accuweather updates 4 times daily here in Nova Scotia. My LaCrosse View "account" indicates that it’s a one month trial. I don’t know what happens after that month however. UPDATE The device itself is fine but the streaming features leave a lot to be desired. For example, it indicated that sunrise and sunset were each 10 13 pm, the maximum wind gust never changed from 24.9 mph in over a week, nor did the hours of daylight. Some of the other streaming choices simply would never display. I’m still giving it 5 stars since the streaming doesn’t affect the functionality of the unit. Update….3 months of use and one of the numbers has missing segments requiring you to guess the number.

This is my second La Crosse weather station and hopefully it lasts because it works great. My previous one I had for about seven years and it worked fairly well until the end of the year last year when it stops sending data. I went to the website and unfortunately there was no support for it because it was an older unit and replacement part for the outdoor sensor was about $65 with no guarantee that was going to fix it so I opted for a new unit. The advantage of this unit is it is wireless it does work with an app off the phone set up was not too bad so I would recommend it And gave it five stars because currently it’s working great. I can’t comment on customer support because I haven’t needed it I can’t comment on the longevity because I have only had it a few months. I would not recommend ever spending an extreme amount of money on one of these devices though because they will eventually wear out and because there a newer models they don’t offer support for the older ones. It’s more or less buy it once use it when it wears out throw it away.

Aún no logro que la estación derecte el sensor de viento, y no encuentro la manwra de hacerlo, alguien me puede apoyar? O terminaré devolviendo el producto.
