CalphalonClassic Nonstick Sauce Pan with Cover 1.5 Quart Various 4674

I bought Calphalon out of a misunderstanding. I thought Calphalon had some kind of special oxidized surface so it did not need a PTFE (think teflon) coating. Soon after getting a few of these pots we burned some food on one and the PTFE coating came off on scrubbing. I was surprised by this and wouldn't have bought them had I known. I will say, however, other than that they are very nice pots.

I didn't know how much I needed this pan until I bought it. Its pouring spout, strainer lids and measurement lines save time and make it easy to transfer liquids. I filled it with water, put the lid on and brought it to a vigorous boil. I was surprised that the handles really were cool to the touch. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Description is wrong- It is important to me handles and lids stay cool...Picture above shows how Calphalon made one of their pots stay cool handle and lid on the 1 quart. With the rubber in them. We loved it. The other I sent back is the 1 1/2 quart which the handle and lid have no rubber in the handles. I overlooked the photo because the description said stay cool. How they think it could stay cool is beyond me. I guess a 1 quart is for quick and low heat I guess. They have great products- The quality beside that looked great. We only tried a quick test to see if handle got hot and it did.

love Love this 1 .5 quart grey Sauce pan it made just like the rest of Calphalon cookwareand that is Awesome if you cannot buy these as a set buy them one pieces at a Time if you can catch a salethis one is non stick and easy to clean no hard scrub is needed i wash mine by hand but you can put it in thedishwasher i bought this for sauce & gravy since it has the pour spouts sofar my daughter has made mac & cheesein it and it came out great 1 box with room for more i really do LOVE all of this company cookware

I was looking for a smaller size Calphalon pot and this fits the bill. Perfect size and appreciate the lid with draining capabilityCalphalon is my favorite brand and this piece did not disappointWould recommend if you are looking for a smaller size which is sometimes difficult to find
