Fixed my heat pump so I'm happy with it. Our upstairs heat started blowing cold air overnight. When I got home from work the next day I started investigating. I discovered the fan on the outside unit for the upstairs was not spinning. After some googling and calling a friend that knows a little about HVAC I was pretty sure the capacitor was the issue. I bought this with next day shipping and installed it in 15 minutes. The fan on the outside unit is now spinning and upstairs heat is hot. I was very careful with the old capacitor. I've been shocked enough times to know to avoid it. Electricity hurts.

The description contradicts itself. It is NOT made in the US. It is definitely made in China.

Well it was not exactly as the same as picture you had in your site thats way I have gotten shouck it was totally difrent brand.

Bought this to replace a GE capacitor in my American Standard AC split system. My normal shop was closed on the weekend and of the 12 local HVAC supply centers in my area, none would sell a capacitor or fan motor to me without a contractors license. Amazon next day shipping to the rescue!My A/C condenser fan wasn't spinning and the attached capacitor was slightly bulging at the top. Figured I'd try this $20 part first before I replaced the whole fan. I was replacing a GE capacitor but no GE capacitors were available next day so I matched the voltage and mircofarads (uf) and ordered this one. It fixed the fan problem and now my air is blowing cool again. This capacitor is long and thin and the GE one I pulled out was short and fat, so I had to replace the original bracket with some metal plumbers tape to hold the new one in place.I took off one star because the Description says "Totaline" but the photo and vendor name say "Amrad" so I wasn't sure what I was getting. Not a big deal since a capacitor is pretty basic. The one that arrived is a Totaline, which apparently is part of Carrier. I'll update the review if the capacitor fails but I don't think there will be any problems.
