An integrated, embodied, and practical approach to recovery.
I have really appreciated this text. It has really supporting me on my path of healing and recovery. As a yoga teacher I was familiar with some of the basic philosophy, however connecting the philosophy to the 12 step program, and beyond that, learning how to apply the practices to support my own recovery have been game changers for me.What i enjoy most about the text are the very relatable break downs of complex principles. So much of these concepts can be abstract and difficult to grasp, but they are communicated really well in the text and I learned a lot about a well balanced routine of self-routine. I am grateful I was introduced to this text and Yoga of Recovery as a whole. I have already recommended it to numerous people, and have gifted it to other friends on the path of recovery, as well as to other yoga teachers. It is suitable to many.

SO MUCH VALUABLE INFORMATION IN THIS BOOK!!
I have read this book three times now...and each time I learn more about myself. Durga Leela has an amazing way of reaching out and assisting the reader to identify the pathway to feeling "whole." I have listened to it on audible as I am working in the garden and then I return to the print to seal in a most valuable message!!

a good weaving of wisdoms
the author's ability to weave the wisdoms of 12 step, ayurveda, and yogic philosophy is a great aid to sustained recovery. i really like the formatting and organization of the book too. while i have attended many lectures and trainings on the "yoga of recovery"; it is nice now to have a book i can pick up to remind me of these tools and wisdoms.
