Ground Saigon Cinnamon

Several articles I read recently bragged about the exploding taste and healthful benefits of Saigon or Vietnamese Cinnamon. Frankly, I was skeptical; however, I had no reason what so ever to be weary. This is the finest cinnamon I have ever had bar none. No other "gourmet" cinnamon can match it. When the top was taken off it had an overpowering smell of cinnamon. To be fair we too the lid off of a brand new "gourmet" brand and could barely smell cinnamon. The results out of the pot were equally as unbelievable. The first recipe was a simple and easy fried apple recipe and we have never had fried apples that tasted so great and full of flavor. Mind you the flavor did not take our breaths away it just said "I am here for you to enjoy" and enjoy we did. The cinnamon in the Pumpkin Cheese Cake opened a new era of taste in this household and one that we will cherish for quite some time. Too bad we did not know about it sooner. I mentioned the health benefits but not having any credentials to support those benefits it would be inappropriate to discuss them. It is safe to say that recognized authors support the benefits. It sure would be nice to have an unbelievable tasting additive that had side benefits. Wow!

I often wondered how much better can this be than other gourmet cinnamon. I'm writing to tell you there is a difference; you have to taste it yourself to believe it. I will never use any other brand of cinnamon again. I made homemade cinnamon rolls today & this cinnamon made a world of difference in the taste of my cinnamon rolls. My DH asked me what I did differently this time and I told him it was the cinnamon; he gave me a frowned look and didn't believe it until I put some of this cinnamon in some unsweetened applesauce for him to eat. He is now a believer too!!You also get a lot of cinnamon for the money. I will share this with a neighbor.HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I was looking for Saigon sticks and came across this. I make chai tea quite often, and figured ground is better than nothing. The flavor of this cinnamon is fantastic. A very little goes a long, long way. If you like using cinnamon, and have been buy grocery store cinnamon all your life.... this will blow you away. There is nothing like Saigon cinnamon, its the most pungent, strong flavored, and delicious cinnamon on the market. I have this particular brand of ground and it is wonderful.

From Vietnam, this is the best cinnamon I've ever used, for various recipes, including mulled cider, snickerdoodles, etc. It has a relatively sweet taste that is perfect for cinnamon-sugar mixes.At the size and price, very economical, very high quality cinnamon.

This Saigon Cinnamon is more like cinnamon hearts candy than the weak cinnamon you usually buy in the store. This changes the flavor of things a little bit, but in my opinion it makes it that much better. It really gives a nice almost spiceyness to things. I've used it for oatmeal, baking and granola. The bottle is pretty large so I don't anticipate needing to buy it again for quite some time, but when I do I won't go back to the other kinds. This reminds me of the fresh cinnamon I got in Costa Rica.

Wonderful value - less than half the price of the McCormick "Gourmet Collection" I had been using and tastes just as delicious. Has a kick to it that reminds me of Hot Tamales candy...sweet but spicy and completely different than 'traditional' cinnamon. I can't even enjoy regular cinnamon any longer. I use this on my daily apples and in oatmeal to help with fat burning (a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!) and it is a simply delightful way of 'dieting'!Highly recommended!!

We sadly do not have a Costco near us, but we got addicted to the fabulous flavor of this Saigon Cinnamon. It has that true sweet, spicy cinnamon flavor when so many other brands are more like sawdust. I was ecstatic when I found this on Amazon! And the price is unbelievably good for the quality and quantity. I highly recommend this cinnamon!

I like that it tastes better than the stuff I used to buy and I do not need as much. I could really smell the difference when I opened it up. Loved it in oatmeal.
