I had one of these knives for several decades and a daughter wished to have it. So, I gladly shared my old friend and purchased this model.I bought the Mountaineer about six months ago and have carried it daily using it for all manner of things from cutting cord, vines, and other things while gardening to trimming fingernails weekly.It is a well made knife and all the little blades spring out as designed and work well. The fingernail file is a bit harsher cut for the fingernails and I must use bit more patience there. If I live another four decades, I expect the file will be as smooth as the old one I gave up.Great product.One thing to know is this item is shipped from Europe and does take a few more days to receive if you are ordering.

The knife is good. But the box was open and the user manual was wrinkled and looked old as if it had been picked up from the ground. The knife is quite stiff. It takes effort to pull and place back the tools. And it shows some little signs of use. I am not sure if someone used it before or it was stored in a rough place for a long time. I had expected to receive a shiny new product . Once I opened the parcel and saw the box that contained the tool was open and found out the user manual was old, I start to have feeling that this was a second-hand product. I want to use it for camping which will involve cutting up food. I don’t like the idea of cutting my food with a knife that was used by a stranger before.
