For someone who usually makes their own spice blends, this is a great mixture with all the necessary Kitchari spices. I use this spice when doing any kind of Ayurvedic kitchari cleansing, and it meets all my needs. Aside from making my own or purchasing products that are 2 or 3 times the price directly from India, this is now my go-to purchase. Always fresh, with good smell and flavors.

I've been using this in my kitchari every day, and like it! I add mustard, cumin, and coriander seeds, as well as hing to bring it all together. I think I'll use some in my next batch of chili oil to warm things up even more. ;)

Jiva Organics Kitchari Spice Mix Is a fresh, nicely packaged, absolutely delicious seasoning that can be used for kitchari or for any other dishes that call for or benefit from a mild curry blend. On a whim I just used it in mashed potatoes. Everyone loved them and asked if I’d make them again tomorrow. For those who may be interested, the container is plastic. All ingredients are listed as organic.

I just received it, and realized it will expire in 2 months! And you cannot return. 😢It was produced in 2021.

It has wheat in it. I bought it thinking it was gluten free as it only had spices on it, and now I will have to throw it to the garbage... I tried to return it but it's not allowed. They should include the wheat in the ingredients list
