If you are looking for bearings to make your mousetrap car project go faster and farther, DO NOT buy these. My son had a physics project where they made mousetrap cars. A brief inquiry on the internet suggested that bearings would result in the best outcome. Immediately after receiving these bearings, it was obvious that they did not have the 3/16" inside diameter that was stated in the description. Sorry, but this is a very critical issue when you are using a 3/16" axle. We couldn't make them fit onto anything that was 3/16". We took the bearings with us to the Hobby Lobby, Ace Hardware, and Home Depot and tried fitting them on 3/16" brass tube, 3/16" metal rod, 4mm tube, 5mm tube and nothing fit. We finally decided to use a 3/16" wood dowel and sanded it down slightly to get the bearing to fit onto the dowel, set them into the car and tried rolling it and they were pathetic. We had even taken the time to soak them in WD-40 to remove any grease inside per recommendations from numerous sources. Terrible roll. We got way better results from the metal tubes running on metal washers. What a joke these are. Buyer beware.

These do not spin freely. I have tried to treat them ( including soaking) with silicone and other products and they do not move freely. It may be ok if it has to support a lot of weight, but are bad for lightweight applications like a balsa wood mousetrap car. Also these are not uniformly resistant. Some are obviously duds out of the box.
