better than the tripp trapp chair
We did a lot of research before deciding on this high chair. It is a space-saver - its small size is perfect for storing it away under our countertop, and it is a nice addition to our furnitures (we didn't want a cheap-looking plastic chair that looked out of place). Our baby sits comfortably in it and is safe. You can easily adjust the seat as the baby grows; one of the reasons we didn't go with tripp trapp was that you have to unscrew/screw to adjust the seat. Adults can sit in it, too, with the tray and baby seat removed but you might want to put something on the seat as the footrest is hard wood. The only downside is that the base of the tray is made of wood so it's a bit heavy to lift. The tray is a bit small but is great for frequent washing in the sink. A cool thing we discovered is that tray is see-through, so you can customize the tray with your own drawings, pictures, etc, by placing them under the tray!

Overall great, but has some flaws
Overall, we’re really happy with this chair.Likes:-my daughter can sit very upright and rest her feet. We sold a more expensive chair that was not working for us at all because she was always tilted too far back. Now in this chair she’s eating way more because she’s comfortable.-Really easy to clean and the tray sort of hugging the body prevents food from falling beside her onto the seat.-looks really nice. Love the green colour.-tray is small so easy to clean in the sink.-I like the bar between the legs which prevents her from sliding forwardDislikes:-the assembly instructions were horrible and not detailed enough.-the shoulder straps are difficult to adjust and seem to loosen on their own. I don’t feel comfortable leaving my daughter seated there without the tray on.- if you have an older house with uneven floors this chair won’t work. There are certain spots in our house where we can’t use the chair because it’s tippy and not all 4 legs touch the ground.-the tray is narrow which I actually like but it’s hard to find suction mats that fit. The ones I have don’t work and the cup holder area further limits the space. On the whole, this chair is really working for us and we’re happy with the purchase.

Simple, sturdy, & ergonomic
My 6 month old began to use this chair for about 1-2 weeks before beginning solids. He enjoyed just sitting and playing with teethers while my husband and I ate our meal. I recommend getting them used to their chair before introducing solids! Now that solids (and the messes) have started, I'm appreciating this chair even more. The foam cushions are high quality and easy to clean. That said, the straps are a bit of a nuisance (hello avocado in every cranny). And "easy to clean" doesn't mean "clean free"... babies are messy, no matter where they sit! The best way I found to clean the straps is to take them right off the chair and wash them in the sink. The only major disadvantage is the footrest. My 6 month old is 27" long and can't plant his feet firmly on the footrest, no matter which level the seat/footrests are placed. This is not ideal for baby-led weaning. However, we placed a box on the footrest until he grows tall enough to properly place his feet.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend to those wanting a versatile, simple highchair.

Great high chair & seller helped fix a shipping issue
High chair shipped & was great to assemble because of the video instructions accessible via QR code (fantastic idea btw!). Only problem was that the left leg was not shipped and instead we had 2 right legs, so it was just not useable. Got in contact with seller and they shipped the new one out right away (I missed their contact at first .. sorry!)With left leg in place, it's great for our new 5 month old to sit in and enjoy fruit & veggie purees for the first time. Have used it for around 5 days now and it fits well in our house.

Wish we had this for our first child
Love it! After using a big traditional high chair for our first child, and again for the first few months for our second, we made the splurge for the Beyond Junior Y and couldn’t be happier. It is easier to clean and use than our old plastic model, takes up less space and is much nicer looking. It is quite sturdy and we are actually planning to buy a second one since our 4 year old son now wants his own! It can be easily adjusted in less than 30 seconds to allow him to use it at our kitchen counter for snacks and home work. We compared to a friends Tripp Trapp and feel this is better value. We only wish we had bought one sooner!
