Professional Hardwood Flooring Jack with Felt Positioning Tool for Laminate Flooring Installation Hard Wood Straight Tile Contractor Hand Tool

I ordered this to help with installation of a new hardwood floor. We began the installation yesterday and this tool failed miserably. Every time I tried to use this it would slip off the flooring side and not do what it's intended to do. (Save your money).

Does as intended however they have a small angle ground into the arm the grips the board to tighten together. That angle is ground on the wrong side and causes the jack to lift up off the board and come off at times other wise for the price and quality, unbeatable.

I bought this to install laminate flooring. It was marginally acceptable for that. The part of the device that is designed to "hook" the edge of the flooring was beveled toward the "wall side" causing it to slip off the thinner laminate flooring. It had thick felt on it which pulled off after short use. Its usability for laminate flooring is why I rated it 3 stars.By contrast, if you want to use it for 3/4 inch hardwood floors it should work fine. In that application I would have given it at least 4 stars.Decide based on what you need it for

A bit of a pain to use.

The media could not be loaded. Only lasted one project than broke.

Perfect except for kind of big flaw. The part that hooks the hardwood edge is beveled such that when you apply pressure from the lever, the tool is often pushed up and off the tongue of the hardwood.Remove that bevel and this tool is excellent.

Didn’t wirk as expected.
