READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!
For the price I thought these were a hit or miss item for our son's party goodie bags. I read a large number of reviews saying they were all bad. Frankly, I opened the package and tried more than a dozen kazoos, and they all didn't work, and was beginning to feel the same.... However. let's not presume that you know how to work a kazoo. Inside the package there was a very small instruction sheet, and after 'humming' in to the larger end, found that I just didn't know what I was doing. 90%+ of these worked great. Yes, the paper circle will wear out over a bit of time, but for 6 dozen, this was a great deal. My daughter keeps asking me for one every week or two, and when I give her one, it lasts for a good while before quitting. This is a good buy, I recommended as long as you can swallow your pride long enough to read the instructions :P

Tragically Disappointing
I bought these as a surprise for a friend's kid so he could learn the value of relentlessly terrorizing his parents at a young age. A 72 pack meant that he could hide them all over the place so he'd always have a backup when one got confiscated. I thought it was the perfect educational opportunity for him, but when he opened the box, he was the one who was annoyed and irritated! He tried at least 20 different kazoos and none worked. The shoddy craftsmanship of these kazoos made it impossible for him to learn to grate that one particular nerve that only a kazoo can get to. Now I'm going to have to go look for a 72 pack of train whistles or air-horns or something like that. I might even have to buy him a trumpet or a bass drum to help him get some confidence back. This was a waste of a golden educational opportunity. You guys let me down.... BIG TIME!

Super fun!
I drive school bus and gave these out to all the kids on my school bus right before I sent them in to the schools in the morning! 1000% best money ever spent! Many of the kids needed lessons on how to get them to make the most noise possible, but during the 10 minutes they had on the bus before going in to school they all got it down! The look on the administrators faces as the kids proudly marched past them blowing these for all they were worh was purely amazing! The kids arived at the bus that afternoon with out suckers or gum in their mouthes for once and glitter projects and such were in their backpacks instead of being flung all over my bus for me to have to sweep up later! Amazing, worked better than expected!

Inexpensive & fun!
These are fun prizes for my preschoolers! I was hesitant after reading some negative reviews, but for the most part, these kazoos work just fine! Maybe a few had paper inserts that were a little bent. One kid got theirs wet and it stopped working, so we learned a lesson there. Seems like a good deal to me, because there are so many in the package, and parents may be grateful that they won't last forever (haha).

Not for a music class. Really just a toy.
The sound on these little guys is very inconsistent. I wanted to use them for a little gag number in my choir but they're just not usable in a concert setting. They're much more suited to a party favor or something like that. They're not great for an actual musical kazoo.
