Has held up well on 1991 Miata
I have been using the car daily for about 6 months since this part change (I also changed the flywheel to the LUK flywheel) and it has been working super well! I would buy this again

Just what I ordered
Correct part for the car. Complete kit for replacing clutch and associated parts. Correct "feel" to the clutch pedal from the factory style pressure plate. Ordered new flywheel and slave cylinder to complete the project.

Falsely advertised item
Was hoping to order the Luk clutch kit on amazon since I have prime and wanted to get the part quickly before a road trip. However, this is an incomplete set. The set did not come with the release bearing, pilot bearing, and spline tool. Strangely, the clutch disk is also not Luk branded (its Exedy).Edit: After exchanging the product, Amazon was able to send me the complete set. It came complete and exactly as expected. After installing the clutch set to my 1.6L Miata, the car felt like new. Would highly recommend as an OEM replacement. I am leaving a 4-star review instead of a 5 since my first order came incomplete.

Exploding Bearings!!
Well… I’ll get straight to the point. I got about 3000 miles or a year out of this kit before the clutch release bearing catastrophically failed. Not only is the bearing shot but it damaged the pressure plate and flywheel as well. This poorly built part left me stranded a ways from home with no way to get the car into gear besides absolutely grinding gears.Had to take the transmission out and go through the entire process again for the second time in a year.Save yourself the trouble and spend the extra $30-40 on a exedy kit. Don’t waste your time.Company is impossible to get ahold of too… maybe they will see my review and refund me? I sure hope so!
