Seems to be a good alternative to other vent-mount phone holders
My wife is really hard on phone holders. She has broken three of them but not before knocking them off the dash vents every couple days. Not sure if she is grabbing the phone without looking or throwing at the holder instead of carefully placing in the cradle. Regardless, nothing has held up under her 'normal' use. I bought this holder that anchors on the vent blade in her '18 Escape. So far, so good. Likely she will break this one too but she will have to take the whole vent assembly with it. Should be a good story when that happens since she denies doing anything 'different' while breaking multiple vent mount holders that just use a friction 'squeeze' to work.

Nice Holder
This is very sturdy and easy to hook up to my air vent in a Honda Civic. Pixel phone fit perfect in it.I've seen other holders that are flimsy, this one is not.

It locks on to the vent pretty good, but as far as holding the phone is the issue for me. Other than that it's okay.
