Astro A40 TR Ear Pads for Astro A40TR A40 TR Gaming Headset - Velour Ear Cushions (Not Compatible with A50 GEN4,GEN3,GEN2,GEN1)

Really didn't want to spend the money to replace my high miles headset, this option gave it a refresh. Happy with what I got, perfect fit, not issues.

The glue on my original ear pads failed after years of use. These are a perfect replacement and are just as comfortable as the originals. Also way cheaper than the replacements from Astro (at least the ones I could find)

Background: My original earpads were dirty and were building up some kind of residue that I could not remove. I tried a few things to clean them but nothing worked. I didn't want to keep wearing them so I had this kit handy as a spare(in case my headset physically broke, didn't think I'd use it to replace dirty muffs).Kit fit perfectly. The Astro headset is magnetic so it installed in seconds. Things were going great but about 6 months into use, the earmuff part started to peel off of the magnetic plastic piece. I'm pretty sure part of it was my fault as I have the bad habit of falling asleep with my headphones on and then rolling onto it at a weird angle basically shearing the pad from the plastic.I didn't have this issue with the stock earmuff part so I can only guess that the adhesive used is slightly lower quality.I bought some double sided adhesive and I was able to reattach the padded part back on to the plastic. A large roll cost about $10. There are probably better options and smaller rolls that cost less but I just wanted a quick fix so I didn't put too much research into it.In any case, it seems to be working and while it is a little annoying to have to replace it, at least it works.Other thoughts: If I wanted a permanent solution, it might have been more practical to use some kind of superglue/epoxy glue but I was mostly just going for quick and easy fix at this point.

These fit perfectly and the magnets are strong so the pads stay in place. It also includes the headband piece for the top of your head. Great deal!

Quality is amazing, and amazing value! Very happy with this purchase! It fits great, and I’d definitely buy more! I haven’t had a chance to see the cooling effect, but I’ll update my review when I get to try it out more! Overall I’m very happy

They’re soft and fit perfect just wish they’d come in white or gray or even red

I used these for about a month then had to switch back to my old ear pads. The extra cushioning is nice at first but after some extended use it puts a lot of pressure on your head and is rather uncomfortable. The quality of the material isn't bad though. These would be great if you have a smaller head side.

Great replacement when my husband original set broke.
