"Golden Birches" 14x11 original watercolor The warm autumn sun tints the bark of a stand of birch trees. This impressionist watercolor painting was influenced by New England's stunning autumn colors. I painted it on ultra smooth Yupo paper for gorgeous color effects. After I applied gold paint to the slick paper, it spilled over into the birch trunks which inspired me to paint them golden.
