My wall duct vent was bent and leaking exhaust from the dryer hose connection. After straightening the wall duct with needle nose pliers, I simply pushed the item in half way. It was a snug secure fit. I connected the new dryer hose. I turned the dryer on, checked for leaks perfect. This item worked for my repair perfectly.

I used this to attach the flexible dryer vent hose to the rigid wall vent pipe which was unfortunately the exact same diameter. This adapter fit inside the wall vent pipe and gave me a tapered end to now attach the 4 inch flex hose to without any hassles or tearing of the hose. I used clamps on both sides of the adapter and now I have a clean neat attachment that I can easily remove once a year to clean out the hose and vent pipe.

Bought two of these to connect to an explosion proof fan (10") for use with my new benchtop spray booth. Drilled holes in it for installing on the Vevor fan (keeping the grates installed) using fasteners I already had on hand. Sturdy enough to work well in my use case.
