Research Methods for Criminal Justice and Criminology, 6th Edition

A collection of research articles placed into one book. You could find them all online by look at Criminal Justice Journals for free. Some of the articles were well conducted, others not so much. You can easily point out their flaws, and how they would have critics or that their research could not be reproduced again. More than half of the book was not used in the class I had purchased it for, so I had no need to read the rest.

This will appeal to students who are interested in cj research and those in the criminological field however won't appeal to those who are thinking of going into police, corrections, and other field jobs that don't require much research...

If you MUST have this textbook for a class I have to say it was pretty boring. The chapters are long and the information is repetitive. Unfortunately this book is not interesting but I will say that it was affordable! I bought it for my Criminal Justice Research Methods class and it was significantly CHEAPER than what my on-campus bookstore was selling it for. I would highly recommend ordering textbooks from Amazon. The textbooks are in great condition (I bought mine NEW) and the price is great!! The delivery was also on time which was great. I would not recommend this specific textbook if you want to read it for your own pleasure but if you HAVE to get it for a class then you won't find it at a better price anywhere else.

Book was a hard read not easy to follow I felt like it was written to only be read by a math genius it was confusing and hard to understand. I did not like the way this book was written or hope it flowed.

Needed for college course. Easily re-sellable.

This book was in good condition when I got it it just too longer that they said to get to me so that made it a little annoying but over all good quality.

I got this for a masters level class. The text was easy to read and the information understandable and easy to follow. Maxfield and Babbie did an excellent job on a potentially dull subject.
