Simple, Sturdy, Sensible, Superb Chopper!
I thoroughly checked out the many mini food processor’s for sale and settled on purchasing this Mueller Puller Chopper based on my particular needs and preferences and I was not disappointed. My essential requirements were low cost, ease of use and cleaning, no whistle & bells, and overall size and capacity. The price was fair and in my range, it is definitely easy to use and clean, no electricity, as it has less risk of breaking down and I can easily regulate the consistency/size of the ingredients I am chopping with the control I have with manual operation, and the capacity of the bowel being listed at 40.5 ounces, which is equivalent to being slightly more than 5 cups, as well as its lightness and relatively small footprint allowing it to be easily stored away, all added up being my solution and winner. Oh, and I was impressed with the apparent integrity of this company’s Customer Satisfaction Guarantee policy, and they are located here in California via Austria. I am looking forward to many years of satisfactory and simple performance. If I happen to encounter any glitches in performance in the future I will update this review to keep you informed. No news will be good news. Bravo Mueller!UPDATE: (1 week later…..I have been using the Mueller Dual Speed Ultimate Pull Chopper and now have just a few comments based on what some of the other feedback reviewers encountered. Here are my perspectives for your considerations.1) Regarding the removal of the Top Cover from the Bottom Cover I also found on 1st attempt for this to be awkward and precarious due to the lack of ease in separating the Top cover from the Bottom cover. I feared that it would break due to this lack of ease. I found that using a butter knife that filled up most of the slotgave me adequate leverage to firmly and gradually release the Top from the Bottom. I found that I had to insert the knife all the way into the slot until I hit a barrier. Once the barrier was hit I then while keeping the tip of the knife pointing down i began lifting upward on the knife handle. I gradually and gingerly applied increasing force to release the first set of interior latches that began freeing the Top from the Bottom sections. (You will hear and feel a “snapping” effect). Then I inserted the tip of the knife into the sides of the seam between the Top and Bottom sections and moved the knife further along until I could no longer move the knife and then begin slightly angling the knife point up and prying upwards until that area of the Top and Bottom released at that interior latch. There are a total of 4 interior latches which includes the 1st one at the opening where the knife was inserted. Once I learned how relatively easy it was to accomplish this each of my subsequent attempts made this happen with more and more ease.2) Another reviewer pointed out the the pull cord rope will gouge and a-braid the surface of the plastic Top if the cord is being pulled in a downward angle. This more easily occurs when the chopper is set to the slow speed (designated as the “1” setting). This is because the slow setting is positioned closer to the plastic surface than when the speed setting is at the high setting where it is coming out of the machine top at a higher position further away from the plastic surface. I found to help avoid this gouging when in the slow speed setting I needed to use my gripping hand in an underhanded position and then pull on the cord in a slightly upward pull pattern. This would keep the cord from gouging the plastic top, but I still needed to be mindful of even this method to assure my form remained consistent.3) Another reviewer mentioned that the top of the blade spindle has an opening that small pieces of food can fall into and be lodged in. He utilized a temporary cover of sorts to prevent this from occurring. I happened to find a small rubber stopper that works well to temporarily fill this open hole. It cost me 50 cents at my local Ace Hardware store. The size that best fit has a Top diameter of 1/2 inch and tapers down to a 3/8 inch diameter. You could however use something like a wad of paper towel that will also work just as well.4) I regularly chop Ginger, which can be fibrous and somewhat hard, and I found that I needed to be careful not to put too large of pieces into the chopper or they will jam the blades. If the pieces are too big they tend to get stuck onto the blades and jam the device. So I have to compensate and pre-slice the Ginger into smaller and thinner pieces to prevent the jamming from occurring. Then the chopping is flaw free and the use of this chopper works well. All in all these glitches are relatively minor correctable adjustments that are easy to compensate for. I still will (at least for now) maintain my rating of 5 stars as all of the choppers positive attributes far outweigh these minor glitches.UPDATE: There is a small white dot on one of the surfaces of the pull handle that I have been contemplating if this is indicative of any significance, so I contacted Mueller to determine what the purpose is if any of this white dot and here is their reply: “According to the manufacturer, the small white dot you see is not of no significance, just part of the manufacture”. Okay…mystery solved!

Great vegetable chopper - NO backup support!
I thought this vegetable chopper was THE BEST! Great capacity, sharp blades, very efficient. Unfortunately, the pull cord didn't even last 12 months (the warranty period) and multiple attempts to get support were futile. Very disappointed.

Love this !
I use this more than my blender. Chops carrots perfectly. With nuts you have to be careful cause it will chop them to powder. It is hard to separate the lid for cleaning. Had this for almost a year and it still works like new !
