Keep it simple
I use Luxafor to show my team how concentrated I am. Red does not mean they can't talk to me - but they should think twice before interrupting me. Green means they can interrupt me at any time. I like that Luxafor is simple and functional. You install it with a magnet where ever you want it to be seen and connect it via USB. The downloadable software is easy to use. You change the color using presets or a slider for free color selection. You can adjust the brightness also. If you want to connect the product to third party software or an API, you can do that.

People know when I’m on the phone.
The indicator functions well. It very clearly displays that I am busy, or available. I am disappointed, though, that I have to turn it on when I answer a call, and off when I disconnect. I was hoping I would be able to link it to my telephone software to come on automatically when I answered the phone. I am, also, limited in the colors that I can choose for “busy” and “available”. The software offers a variety of changing colors, but I am only able to access solid colors for busy and available. Even with these minor disappointments, I highly recommend this indicator.

RED: YES I'M BUSY!
I bought two of these. One for my office and one while I travel to my various remote offices. People in my offices continually walked up behind me and asked if I was on a call since they could not see my Bluetooth ear peice in my ear. Most of the time the answer was YES. That's no longer an issue. I use the included software to connect the light to my Skype at work. It automatically changes color based on my calendar which is integrated with Skype (RED Busy, GREEN Available, etc.). I can also change the color manually if necessary when I need time to focus on some work. Now no one asks if I am on a call or busy. I used velcro stickers to attach the one to my office wall and the other to the top of my laptop while I am traveling. What a great product! I highly recommend it.

The description and website is so misleading that it really has me ticked off at the company.
The hardware itself is pretty great. However, I purchased this to display my presence info for Skype For Business (which the description notes as being supported). But, I have a Mac and the description does not mention the fact that this product doesn't integrate with SFB on a Mac. You have to go to their website to gleam that little bit of important info and even then you have a 50/50 shot of not seeing it there either (see pics). Also, there are several items listed in the 'Integrates with' section in the description that there isn't actually support for (at least not on the mac app). It lists the item in the software as 'This feature will be available in the Luxafor Plus version', but there is NO mention of what the hell this is anywhere on their site, when it will come out, if it will cost anything, etc.Two BIG things that ARE NOT SUPPORTED ON MAC out of the box (without this elusive 'plus' version) are Outlook and IFTTT!
