Gardner's Insect Monitor Cards are designed to capture all types of insects that harbor in and around plants. Fungus gnats, white flies, aphids, thrips, and leafminers are just a few of the species attracted to our traps. In order to maximize catch rates of the different species of insects we utilize two insect attracting colors on each trap: Brilliant Blue and Yellow. Traps are packaged as 10 double-sided cards per pack. Non-Toxic No Mess Easy to Use 1" Monitor Grid for Easy Insect Identification We have perforated the traps to increase the use options: Use as a 4" x 8" trap. Fold into triangle-shaped delta. Tear apart at perforations for use in smaller areas or close to base of plants. How to use: Fold or tear trap into the desired format. Peel protective cover from one or both sides of the trap. Place or hang traps close to plants. When used in large areas, traps should be placed 10-15 feet apart. For both indoor and outdoor use. Monitor traps on a regular basis - replace as needed.

Best Sticky Traps I Have Ever Used!
These work! I had a fungus gnat infestation from starting seeds and tried reducing watering frequency, insecticidal soap and neem oil. None helped and the fungus gnats got worse and worse. Finally decided to try these and could not be happier with the results. The traps are quite large (compared to others I have tried) and really a good deal. The gnats get stuck to both the yellow and blue sides. I could not believe how many were stuck to it in just 1 day. The gnat population has been drastically reduced now. Get these ones! They work!

great product
this sticky card will trap every insect that is unfortunate enough to land on it.. there were 100s of wasps , flies , white flies , fungus gnats and various other undesirables on each one after only a week.. these sticky cards are impervious to water as well.. excellent organic way to control garden pests.. I have tried a few other sticky products but this is the best by far.. its a bit messy to handle , which you inevitably will have to do , so have some vegetable oil readably available to get it off of your fingers and hands as nothing else will work.. don't worry , its non toxic..

Nice n' sticky, but only good for monitoring; read review for the true fix
these are great monitoring cards, again MONITORING cards. These will NOT fix your fungus gnat problem, they will only alert you to their presence and help to reduce their nuisance of flying around. I have been battling houseplant fungus gnats for quite some time. I have tried just about everything, and I believe that I have ultimately found the fix. Day one, spray Bifenthrin on the soil surface to saturate. Day two spray imidacloprid on the soil surface. Day 3 spray Onslaught FastCap on the soil surface, and then cover the soil surface with about 3/4 - 1" of Quikrete play sand. Then if you have it, spray neem oil on the sand surface to saturate the sand. Place your monitor cards out several days after doing all this. You should not see one gnat! This method might not work very well for those of you with toddlers, or very young children that might play with the sand in the pots with all the pesticides.I know the process is somewhat a pain in the butt, but if you are serious about getting rid of your fungus gnat problem this is what I have found. I also have about 1 gallon of hydrogen peroxide 3% to mix with water in a 1:4 ratio to nuke the eggs and larva for upcoming waterings should I see a reemergence of the gnats.I use quite a bit of peat moss and vermiculite in my growing mix so that I don't have to water but once a month on my house plants, but because of the high retention of this water, these gnats love it!

Very Effective, Good Product
I have in the past used these for whitefly infestations with great success. Unfortunately, when I moved in June, and took some of my outside plants with me to my only inside apartment, the mold gnats that were possibly only in one plant decided to come along and move into other plants as well. They were driving me crazy, flying in my face, etc. I have caught literally hundreds and hundreds of gnats with these and ordered a second package. There is one caveat, and it is a BIG ONE: If you have a bad infestation, you need to buy the stuff that kills the larvae and you can spray or pour it directly into your pots. Even after doing that, and killing many larvae, and cutting wayyyyy back on watering to make the soil an unattractive place for the gnats to make "homes", i still unfortunately have a gnat or two that I find flying around in my apartment. This has been the worst infestation I have ever had. BUT: I gave this five stars because these things really do work at catching adult insects. If the infestation is bad, you may have to buy the gnat larvae stuff as well, but these things are still excellent. And if you buy the larvae killing stuff, you still need these to kill the adults. In the past it just required one package, but this has been especially bad. The insects (in my case whitefly and mold gnats) are very attracted to them and they are very effective, so I gave this five stars. Good luck if you are having a problem! I assume they work outside as well....

We had a pretty bad gnat problem. After a month it seems to be getting under control. I bought “Raid Fly Ribbon” at the local grocery store and 3 products from Amazon. I also made some things off of the web. In order how things worked. 1) Homemade solution with Moscato wine and a few drops of dishwashing soap put into shot glasses; also used small ½ cup plastic containers. This was by far the best. I was harvesting gnats. Problem here, I could not replicate my solution. My test solution was a killer. 2) Raid Fly Ribbon from local grocery store. Hung this over the kitchen sink; very effective. 3) Double-Sided Universal Insect Monitor Cards for White Flies, Aphids, Fungus... from Amazon. Not bad, not too far behind the Raid Fly Ribbon. Might even be a tie. Great on flat surfaces like tables, counters, etc. 4) BEAPCO 6-Pack Drop-Ins Fruit Fly Traps; from Amazon. Getting towards the bottom here. Theses took about 2 weeks to catch on. Not very effective. 5) Hafer 30-Pack (15ea.5"*3"yellow Dual sticky trap and 15pcs wire tie)set; from Amazon. Don’t know about these. Because of the bright yellow they were great from not hitting my head under the kitchen counter at night. They were not very effective at all. I think the environment has a lot to do with it. I cleaned the area of the kitchen. I closed the garbage disposal drain with its drain cap. Dried out the sink and left the under counter lights on about 18 hours a day. They are LED so that was cheap. Hope this helps someone.
