The Spice Way Cardamom Decorticated - (4 oz) made from premium green cardamom pods

I've been buying this brand of bulk decorticated cardamom for a few years now. I add a generous pinch of the seeds to my coffee beans, along with a pinch of ground cinnamon, before I whiz it all together in the coffee grinder for our daily coffee brewed in a vintage percolator. It's delicious and smells wonderful all brewed together! This is a great value and I haven't found anything close to the quality or quantity locally. Our local Indian market doesn't have decorticated cardamom and I've discovered that it's not worth the time or hassle of trying to do it myself. This is very high quality cardamom, super fragrant, and clean! I'm hooked. I get it really quickly on Amazon Prime delivered to my door, and that also saves me from hunting for it around town. Highly recommend and I have referred this brand to all my coffee drinking friends.

Do not eat this cardamom. It is contaminated with rodent feces. I have included photos for you to see. This is a serious health issue, as ingesting rodent feces can make you very, very sick or even be the end of you.

Smells and tastes like dirty, earthy old seeds. Bought another brand from Whole Foods because I was disappointed with these and the difference is night and day. Did a blind scent test and it was obvious. The fresh, intense aroma just isn't there in these. They also lack in flavor, tasting old and stale. Would have been a great value if they were good, but would not buy again. Will end up throwing the bag away, no point spending a bunch of time and money on baking, to then have it be lackluster from the cardamom.

I use these seeds for infusing honey. These are absolutely perfect - beautiful, fragrant seeds. There was a couple pods in the mix, but I didn't mind. I'm also using them in making fermented blueberries, which has been a delightful and tasty experiment. I'll purchase these again when the time comes.

This is the second time I’ve ordered this product which I like very much but this second shipment the outside of the package smell very very strong of some thing scent d like dryer sheets I had to wipe down the package several times and leave it outside for several days for the scent to dissipate
