A good read & revived memories
Bought both books (50s & 70s) as presents. They were interesting and bought back some pleasant memories. I was a little disappointed the books didn’t have many photographs of those times which may have made them an easier read for my elderly Mother who has early stages of dementia, where more photographs would have perhaps sparked more interest. something for others to consider when buying these books for elderly relatives/friends.I was unable to see the contents of the books online before ordering as the photo is just of the front cover of the books & none of the inside contents. .

It might suit your needs
Personally I felt there were too many words and not enough photos. But it depends on your needs.

Not enough detail on a big subject.
A lot of money for a little read. I have purchased better on this subject. Quite annoyed and disappointed.Best shop around.

Amazing series
I bought the 60s version a while back and loved it so much, I bought a second copy for my parents. Since then I've waited for each one to come out, and have bought 2 copies of the 70s, and now this 50s one.I have to say, these are the best history books I've ever read. They don't speak down to the reader, and it's almost like listening to someone who was not only there, bit has a sense of humour about it.Thinking of something to get a person you love for Christmas (or any other day of the year!), then look no further.Amazing. Amazing. Amazing.

1950s Memory Lane Book
I've bought this for a friend for Christmas, to go in her hamper. She'll love this, as she's always telling me how great it was back then. She'll love reminiscing this Christmas
