great product it does work , brushing is key. i brushed and damped their coat twice and now i do it every night ... it helps that it works , brushing your cat beforehand is key

Hard to use for cats because they run away but I think it works.

This has really helped with allergy reactions to my long-haired Shetland Sheep Dog. Several people in my family are allergic and since I have been using this, their discomfort is much better.

This was very helpful because my brother is very allergic to cats but he loves my dog who always hangs out with him.

I know a lot of reviewers say this product helps control their allergies, but I have seen no noticeable difference. I applied as instructed -- rub against the fur and make sure it is wet enough to get to their skin. First, most cats don't do well with have a liquid substance applied to their fur let alone against the direction of their fur. So getting this on your cat is a whole ordeal a lot of the time. Second, my cat tries to lick it off immediately, even though I dry her off as well. Because she starts grooming herself, I think it negates the action of allerpet and therefore I don't see a difference in my allergies. Doing this weekly as recommended is not very feasible or reasonable for me because of these reasons.It could just be hit or miss whether or not this works for you. I would also only recommend to people who have relatively chill cats (which I do, so the fact that it was an ordeal for me to get the product on her probably means it will be a herculean task for someone with a more reactive cat). Keep your expectations low, and if it works for you then that's great!
