Kendal Glass Tabletop Syphon (syphon) Coffee Maker 5 Cups New

A couple of things to plan for, this coffee maker does not come with fuel for the burner so plan to purchase that. You’ll also want replacement filters or perhaps a permanent one. “5 cups” is really 2 standard American cups of coffee but this coffee maker brews rich, delicious coffee and I’ve found myself only craving one cup so it’s perfect for our needs. Takes about 10 minutes or so to brew a full pot. The siphon brewing technique is so fun to watch and if you have kids they’ll love watching it go. Give it a go!

This was a gift to my daughter-in-law who used to own a coffee shop. She said that the coffee this produced was excellent! She thought it was fun to use, also.

We saw something on TV where someone was making coffee with a similar maker so I found this on Amazon. My husband and I had the most fun making our first cups of coffee with this. It’s like a science project and the coffee was wonderful. Very glad we added this to our coffee cart in the kitchen!!

I purchased this instead of the Hario TCA-5 which retails for $75 locally. It was delivered intact and on time. Includes one cloth filter, filter assembly, chrome stand with brown plastic handle, lower and top glass carafes, top carafe stand/lid made of matching brown plastic, alcohol burner with wind screen, black plastic coffee spoon and a bamboo stir stick. Disappointed that the plastic 's are coffee brown and not black as I believed the photo's to show hence 4 stars for seller using inaccurate stock photo's and lack of descriptive details. It is completely compatible with TCA-5 accessories. Boyfriend raved that it made the best cup of coffee he ever had at home and that it was on par with a Clover brewer in taste. I may try a Cory glass rod filter in the future. I love this very sciency-looking vacuum brewer. Makes delicious coffee consistently. I made the mistake of washing the filter cloth with soap and now coffee is not as good. I even reboiled the cloth in plain water, but I guess I'll have to get new cloth or boil it more. Still, it works great and is very fun to use and simple to clean. Bottom bulb is a bit slow to dry, but eventually it does.
