Not nearly as stable as I would like, but it’s serviceable. The stand is very tight and has to be manhandled to get it into place — while keeping it from falling over due to a bad center of gravity.Still, once it is in place, it stays there, but I don’t think I would use it as a portable stand because it’s hard to set up.

I’d been having trouble with my thumb joints for quite a while, but the pain suddenly started to get so bad I could no longer hold my iPad. I researched several products and decided to buy this Ulanzi stand. I am very glad I did.The stand is sturdy. The base is weightd, so it doesn’t tip over. The joints are tight, so they hold the position you set them at. A small Allen wrench is neatly stored underneath the base. You can use it to tighten or loosen the joints, if necessary.It’s easy to put together. You unfold the main piece, then attach the adjustable clasp, which holds phones and tablet devices. The stand folds down flat, so it’s very portable.By using this stand, I have reduced the pain in my thumbs significantly, because I’m no longer holding the iPad. Because you can adjust it to the precise angle you need, it’s easy enough to type and to see the screen.I’m very happy with this purchase.

The bar that holds up my tablet can't handle the wait of my 10 inch tablet and slowly slides down. Waste of money.

I have an Tab S 8 Ultra with the Samsung keyboard case and this holds it perfectly secure. Needed something so I could watch next to the bed on my night stand. Love it. Sturdy and well built. I can see me using this in my office as well. Also, great if you have an iPad pro as my wife has used it. Probably works best when you don't have too think of a case for a better secure hold.
