Funky Monkey Snacks Bananamon, 0.42-Ounce Bags (Pack of 12)

I am totally addicted to the Funky Monkey!!! I started with the Jiva Lime, then the Purple Funk started growing on me, and now I crave it every day! I also love the Bananamon, but mostly when I have run out of Purple Funk! I love that it is organic and totally natural. I don't care if it does stick in my teeth, so does candy, and I'm MUCH better off with these than indulging my serious sweet tooth in less healthy ways! To me, these ARE like candy. :-D I am SO happy I found this brand, I just can't find a regular enough supplier so I guess I have to start ordering them online now. About the cost- come on, three servings of totally organic fruit for under two dollars and someone is complaining? As a former medical researcher, I understand the VALUE of such a quality, organic, nutritious, delicious, awesome product and I am quite obviously sold. ;-) P.S. I do not work for the company, or anywhere else for that matter- I am just a fan of the Funk!

I found out about this product from a Redbook article written by Hungry Girl. I am always looking for ways to get my fruits and vegetables in and this snack fits the bill for me. One 1 oz bag has 3 servings of fruits, low calories and just fruit with no sugar. This is one of my new favorite snacks to have around when I'm looking for something sweet and crunchy. Yum Yum.

I was first introduced to freeze dried fruits on a visit to Kennedy Space Center in FL - it was a novel item then, and it was great to know that this is what astronauts eat when they're in space.Then I started to order Gerber Graduates freeze dried fruits for my toddler & I've grown to love it as a guilt-free dessert/snack for me & the family. When my local grocery store stopped carrying it, I looked here & thought I found the perfect substitute! Boy was I wrong...It does taste extremely funky and there's a weird aftertaste. It tastes rancid, like it was somehow fried in oil that was used a couple dozen times (it's not suppoed to be fried though). I wonder why the average review is so high? Maybe employees are the ones leaving reviews? It's not the first time that has happened ;)I guess my search isn't over.

I read some of the bad reviews for this product and was concerned, however, I ordered it anyway.....I am so glad I did. This snack is delicious. I'll agree with some viewers that it gets sticky in your mouth and gums up your teeth.....but it's temporary and your mouth clears out quickly so it's no big deal...at least not for me. I bought this also because my grandson is highly allergic to most foods on the market unless they are fresh fruits and vegetables so this gives him a little variety. They are easily packed away in his diaper bag for snacks during the day. I do wish it wasn't as expensive as it is.....but....seems everything that is exceptional in life cost too much.

I tried these first as part of a sampler of Funky Monkey freeze dried fruit snacks and then purchased the single flavor set. They are similar to the Just Tomatoes brand fruit snack, Just Strawberries and Bananas, so if you like those, you will enjoy these.Funky Monkey snacks are all natural, with no sugar or oils or fats added. Just the natural sweetness of the bananas and of course, cinnamon. Each package is 110 calories, so it makes for a good portion controlled snack for weight watchers and a healthy choice for kids. The other Funky Monkey flavors are just as good. Highly recommended.

I'm giving it 4 stars just because these are a bit pricey and there's no bulk package to bring the cost down. That being said, these are tasty, crunchy, great for kids, and great for big kids who want something fun to eat without a lot of guilt. I've tried most of the funky monkey snacks, and like the carnival one the best because it's pretty much just fruit.

very yummy and simple organic, raw, vegan snack... the only downside is that since these are freeze dried, they tend to get stuck in your teeth, but this snack is so sweet, its worth it :) the packages are small enough to fit in my purse to have in case i get hungry while out running errands.

I found these on an allergy website. Luckily, Amazon sells them. They have a good price here, it is till steep for the small amount that you get. But it is a handy serving size for portion control. Just think how many you could eat out of a large bag! very crunchy and sweet. The kids love them. They like all the flavors. I carry these with me in the car for a sweet treat when the kids get screaming. Easy way to get more fruit in our diets and satisfy our sweet tooths! We will buy again!
