Let me start by saying I’ve never dove deeper than 10-15ft before buying this item. Never speared a fish. I ordered this because I love fishing, and wanted to get a more primitive take on fishing. Also - hooking a large opal eye with a hook can take forever. A Bunch of 4 inchers bite first. I was determined to catch some dinner sized opal eyes. So I ordered this. I’ve went on two dives with it so far. My first dive, I was afraid. I did catch some fish, but mainly smelt for mackerel bait & target practice. I also caught some opal eyes, shot the tip on rocks atleast 5 times that day. But don’t let that fool you, this little tool still goes through fish no problem. Today I went on my second dive, and it was much more fun! I ordered a snorkel kit, and dove between 25-40ft for 6 hours straight! I caught a couple of 12+ inch Sargos & Opaleyes no problem. The part on my spear that’s starting to give is the rope on the band, but after 12 hours of hard use I’d say that’s fine! If the rope rips I can tie it in, but the replacement bands are like $10! The band itself is amazing! The rope is still holding and I’ll update when it rips! But trust me. Buy it 🫡

the spear gun Came packed well the quality is pretty amazing. Last one I bought was in the early 80s and this one looks like a twin and I’m looking forward to years of adventures with it. Thanks.

I have had this out 3 times now and speared enough fish to have a great time every trip. This tip held up much better than a 5 pronged spear that my friend has. The rope in the elastic band frayed after one trip to a point that I had to replace it. Before putting the new band on I used a countersink bit to take the sharp edge off the hole in the metal end. Two trips later everything is working great!

We own a few of their two piece spears and the one piece is awesome! You won’t be disappointed.

Performs well, worth the money, but they get dull pretty quick.

Works perfect and does what it’s suppose to do. I use it everyday in the Atlantic waters.

Pretty cool for the all spear-fisher men out there if you use this product for just fun occasionally. I am happy with it to just have. Not sure about using this seriously to catch some big fish. I recommend you to buy longer length if you wanna catch more fish. (That’s my fishing companion in the pic)
