DEWALT 6 Inch Bench Grinder, 3,450 RPM (DW756)

This grinder is fantastic. We installed it on our work bench and it works great. It's quiet and has a ton of power.

So far, this has been working out great. It takes a little time to set up, but then just works...Starts up reasonably quickly, isn't too loud, is easy to reach the power button, and has enough power for simple grinding that I've been doing.The spark arrester doesn't really work, as the sparks travel all the way around and shoot right back down onto your hand, but I don't know if other grinders have solved this when grinding steel, either.

The grinder has no vibration and has power to do any grinder job. It is a little higher price than the off brand models but is well worth the higher price for the quality built grinder.

Grinder is fine - but the instructions are not great. The template for where to drill the mounting holes is off by about a half inch. I didn't realize this until after I went through the trouble of drilling the holes per the instructions and it didn't line up. It also doesn't include the screws, washers and nuts you need to mount it to your bench (and the instructions don't mention these screws are not included). I get that all benches are different - but at least tell us these screws are not included so we know we need to go buy them. And tell us to buy screws that are +1.5" thicker than your bench (or whatever the right measurement is) so we don't have to figure it out by trial and error. Once I got the grinder installed and assembled properly it works as expected and is clearly of good quality.

Heavy duty, no lag on start up. I had a 3/4 HP I bought, and could not find a wire wheel that would fit. I returned it, and bought the Dewalt. I ordered a wire wheel for it that was made for the tool. It's a little tight but works fine, I'm sure as it wears down it will fit a bit better

This is a great grinder. My son is very pleased with it. He was so happy when he opened the box for Christmas. The shipping was fast. The pricing was around average, but the quality of the product is worth the price. My son is very pleased with it, and every man should have one of these in their shop.

This thing is a beast and has allot of power. It take allot to bog down the wheel. Easy assembly.
