I own several of the 8-panel BOTVELA caps and they are all very well made and fit me perfectly. The linen is especially nice IMO. It's featherweight and with a slightly looser fit than the cotton caps. That's nice when the weather is hot and humid. The material is nice looking--something I worried about before ordering since it's hard to tell much about it in the photos. And the price is outstanding! I still wear baseball caps and my faithful Tilley hats but the 8-panel hats are one of my favorite designs. It's looser than a baseball cap and the extra space in the crown allows for more comfort. The linen cap is superlight and great for summer wear.

if you are going to buy a ‘newsboy style’ cap this is the brand to buy- as far as ‘the style’- when you finoget it and put it on it is ‘closest’ to the look you were going for- i have 4 of them

Light weight linen cap. Looks good. If, however, you wear a 7 1/2" or smaller cap it is going to be too large. Botvela does not have anything that fits 7 1/2" on any of their offerings. Too bad.

I have the heavier canvas version of this hat and thought the lighter linen one would be nice for summer. Unfortunately this one has no band sewn in so instead you just have the brim right on your forehead. Even though this cap is larger than the other one despite the same labeled size it was just way too uncomfortable and left a big line across my forehead. Too bad.
