Noctua NA-FD1, Fan Duct Kit for NH-L9i and NH-L9a Series CPU Coolers (Black)

Had Jonsbo NV10 case and with Noctua CPU cooler left slightly less than 5mm clearance. Took a chance on this kit. You could get away with just fitting 5mm spacer without tubes but cut tubes slightly less than securing "bolts". Push on lid of case fitted but only just. The results were better than I thought. Noise levels dropped dramatically and Fan speed dropped from around 1800rpm(idle) to 1600rpm with mid load. CPU temps dropped by about 15°

I didn't follow the installation instructions to the letter - i.e. measuring the distance between the cooler and the side of the case to get a precise fit; just did it by eye instead -- and it was as snug without pushing on the side plate too much. Lots of different sized pieces of foam will definitely help with re-use with other cases, if that should come to pass.

I seen some positive reviews of this product so I purchased for a mini gaming pc I have that I upgraded the cooler to a Noctua so I wanted to go the extra mile and include these also… I don’t think they add any extra cooling benefits and are a bit flimsy… I wouldn’t really recommend them TBH

What can I say simple solution, easy to add to your computer without needed to remover cooler and motherboard ect. Arrived and put on the cooler within 10 minutes and it works on battlefield 2042 gone from high 60’s (67-71)to low 60’s (60-64)

Phenomenal product if you’re using a very small PC case. My case is a sandwich ITX that’s sub 7ltrs and it dropped the temps of my 7600 from high 80’s to low 70’s.

A Simple but effective solution

It works as intended, temps dropped by 5-6 degrees in my dan A4 sfx case resulting in a much quieter system. Poorly implemented design though, the thumb screws don't always latch onto the CPU fan and since there's no screw head you cant easily screw them in. I just have to live with a loose corner.

Works great to squeeze some extra performance out for the cooler when installed in slim and small cases. Used in a Fractal Node 202 and noticed an immediate performance upgrade. Fans can run slower and quieter and still deliver acceptable temperatures.
