Flexible eady to work with

I was using this to hook up a pool solar heater. Very difficult to get a normal hose clamp to tighten up properly but the hose is well constructed. I only got two years out of the old ones but repurchased again because they held up very well under the extreme baking sun.

I had bought this item 2 years ago for use with an outdoor fish pond. It had become brittle and cracked so I had to replace it. This is a slightly different version of the product. It seems slightly more flexible and maybe a bit thicker. I was able to install it on the pump connector very easily, which was a pleasant surprise. No struggling or heating necessary as I recall from the last time.

Used this Kinkproof pipe to connect my pond pump to a pressure filter and waterfall box. It's inexpensive, super easy to use and can handle a pretty tight bend radius. I was real happy with the pipe and ease of application until I started landscaping around the pond. I was installing drip irrigation near the buried pipe, had a brief cranial/rectal inversion, and accidentally pushed a drip irrigation hold-down staple right through the buried kinkproof pipe. Granted, I felt the resistance and pushed a bit harder before thinking through thoroughly what I might be hitting. To fix it, I discovered that a 1 1/2" pvc sink riser pipe (the thin stuff in the P-trap supplies section of the store) is the perfect size to slide inside the kinkproof pipe (a little soapy water helps). I cut the pipe at the puncture, slid in a 4" length of sink riser pipe and added a couple of band clamps to fix the puncture. Super happy with the pipe given its low price and ease of use. Just be careful with sharp objects!
