I have an Amcrest WiFi camera overlooking my driveway from the 2nd Floor that I use to see who passes by. Decent enough during daytime, but as most of you know - the IR on most security cameras is completely useless when pointing out a window because it just ends up reflecting back to the lens.I decided to try this IR illuminator out because it has a standard U.S. 3-prong plug and set it up on the opposite side of the window ledge where my camera is. I was very surprised that it is strong enough to go through my glass window and light up my entire driveway and the trees across the street. That is about a 70-80ft throw, in less than ideal conditions (through Glass).The first picture is Nightvision ON without Camera IR and no illuminatorThe second picture is Nightvision ON without camera IR with this illuminatorIndoor Camera: Amcrest IP2M-841BI have no doubts that this illuminator will be even brighter when I properly mount it outside and it is not going through a window. For now, it does its job well enough and lets me use my Indoor camera to monitor the front of my house at night. The photocell works as it should, turns unit on at night and off during daytime.Note: First unit I received was not working correctly. Vendor DCGoods mailed me a replacement quickly and it seems to have no issues. There is not a lot of packaging material inside the product box other than thin foam bag, its possible the first one was damaged during shipping.

Item began failing within the 3rd month of use. Lights now just blink occasionally more than the stay on. Occurs regardless of lighting conditions, power source, and even with the ir switch sensor blocked with tape. When it worked it worked well and I was surprised at the light coverage. I really wanted this to work because it was already 110v, and I was ready to buy another one until this one failed.

Works well ...Got 220V one..had to buy a step up transformer

Doesn't work correctly, leds blink on and off.
