How well do the lights light up to the actual beat of your music if connecting music from your phone via Bluetooth ? Does it just randomly light up?

It lights up great with the music. It has a control at the top. Volume and pick what game they want to play. My five year old granddaughter loves it. Idk about the Bluetooth.
